After several inspections and efforts, the competition was declared because of unsuitable pitch and damp outfield.
In the meantime, visuals from the bizarre incident came after the game had been canceled. The X account of Cricket Scotland posted photos of players from both teams looking out of the square while charred patches appeared on the field due to Ash Fire Residu.
However, several inspections took place, however, the heavy downbour took a lot of time away and the field could not be prepared within the closing time of 21:02 (local time) despite the extraordinary methods that were used by the ground staff. This meant that the two teams had to share the points.
