An apartment development of $ 60 million in Geelong West has won the planning approval through a quick process.
Up-ancient property received a planning permit on Friday for the Hope & Autumn project with four floors, consisting of 56 apartments with one, two and three bedrooms in two buildings on 51-53 Hope ST and 66-76 Autumn St.
The project was submitted through the Standing Development Program, because the Town Planner Steiring Hope & Autumn said that widespread support won.

Senior Capital Planner Nick Clements from Tracts Consultants said that the Rise project medium would make an important contribution to reach the aim of the city to build nearly 130,000 new homes by 2051.
“Geelong screams for positive examples of in-filling homes,” said Mr. Clements.
“We are proud that the excellent planning and design merits of the project are recognized by the state government, the office of the Victorian government architect and the city of Greater Geelong.

An air reproduction of planning documents shows the apartment buildings on the fall and Hope ST in Geelong West.
“The innovative design of the project, focus on expansive landscape architecture, environmental references and site-respiratory design ensured a seamless approval process of the planning.”
Mr. Clements said that the real estate is ready to launch in the sale of homes in two phases, with a sales office ready to open on Pakington St.
The success of the sales process would make real estate possible to determine the construction time line for the entire project, he said.
“They are looking for down sizers, people who have a little more money to spend on a more premium product and went with a top-end architect,” said Mr. Clements.
“This is the first project in Geelong for Austin Maynard Architects, which has many login data in Melbourne.”

The apartment project is located near the Pakington ST, Geelong West Cafe, restaurant and shopping area.
Hope & Autumn offers tailor -made apartments for downsizers, families and professionals at a location next to the Pakington St Cafe, restaurant and shopping strip and within walking distance of the Geelong train station.
Austin Maynard Architects Managing Director Sophie Whittakers said that the project was a well -thought -out, sustainable and heritage -sensitive design, such as white gibal buildings with setbacks for four -storey elements.
The approach of AMA ensures that Hope & Autumn ‘seamlessly harmonizing with the distinctive nature of Geelong West, while it introduces new standards for context-responseing development for the suburbs, “said Whittakers.
“I was born and raised in Geelong and I am incredibly proud that Austin Maynard Architects contributes to an apartment project with the average density of this caliber in the region,” she said.

Some residents labeled the developer on ownership as ‘arrogant’ in proposing development, and claimed that it was a dangerous precedent for the neighborhood in terms of height and increased traffic and limits for parking garage.
But Mr. Clements said that the development was an example of how established areas can contribute to the 2051 goal.
“The broader industry is aware that there are such substantial challenges in getting projects with high density in the CBD, we will have to rely on this medium density and even smaller density to reach those ambitious housing goals,” he said.
Medium density projects can provide apartments with a higher value.
“If you buy a 40 -storey building in the CBD, it does not have the same exclusivity.” Yes, you have the upper levels that have the beautiful view over the bay, but they do not have the same facility that immediately borders Pakington St. “”
