Sharing is caring!

Last December I had a mini panic attack.

I hosted a small holiday gathering and everyone brought wine and cocktails.

When I looked in my refrigerator, I realized that I had absolutely nothing interesting to offer except sparkling water.

So I did what any desperate host would do: I improvised.

I took half a stick LMNT Grapefruit Salt from my gym bag, some fresh grapefruit from the counter, ginger from the fridge, and hoping for the best.

Within 20 minutes, three people asked for the recipe.

One guest, who drank regular cocktails, switched to my mocktail for the rest of the evening.

Another texted me two days later saying she made it for her book club.

The irony? The ‘healthy’ drink became the most popular at the party.

That’s when I knew this recipe had to be shared.

Not as a ‘diet food’ or ‘health food’, but as a truly delicious option that happens to support your gut.

Why this mocktail works

Unlike most holiday drinks that leave you feeling bloated, dehydrated, or on a sugar crash, this Grapefruit Ginger Sparkler will actually make you feel Good.

This is why:

Fresh grapefruit juice – Vitamin C, antioxidants and that bright, zesty flavor that screams ‘celebration’

Freshly grated ginger – Natural anti-inflammatory that supports digestion and adds warming herbs

LMNT Grapefruit Salt – This is the secret weapon. Most people don’t realize that proper hydration requires electrolytes, not just water. LMNT provides sodium, potassium and magnesium without sugar or artificial ingredients. It’s what actually makes this mocktail moisturizing instead of drying out.

Sparkling water – All festive bubbles, no alcohol

Rosemary and grapefruit garnish – Makes it look as good as it tastes

Why LMNT makes the difference

I tried making this mocktail without the LMNT, and honestly? It’s just not the same.

The Grapefruit Salt flavor adds a subtle complexity that regular salt can’t match.

Plus, you get actual hydration support, something most party drinks completely ignore.

The best part? When you order LMNTyou will receive a free sample package so you can try all the flavors.

The Citrus Salt and Watermelon Salt also work beautifully in mocktails.

I now keep different flavors in my pantry all year round. They’re not just for mocktails – I use them post-workout, in my coffee (actually my FAVORITE way to use them – Chocolate Caramel coffee anyone?!) while traveling, and anytime I need to stay well hydrated without drinking sugary sports drinks.

This Mocktail is Ideal for:

✓ Holiday fun
✓ Anyone who avoids alcohol
✓ Dry January preparation
✓ Gut-friendly party options
✓ Guests who want something special (without hangover)
✓ Anyone who needs more electrolytes (most of us)

More ways to use this recipe

Morning cocktail – Enjoy it as a refreshing breakfast drink. The ginger promotes digestion, making it perfect to start your day. [Also: great for “adrenal fatigue.”]

Cocktail base – If you drink alcohol, this makes an incredible base for vodka or gin.

Party for parties – Multiply the recipe by 8, mix it in a large pitcher and let the guests serve themselves. Set up a garnish station with rosemary, grapefruit slices and extra sparkling water.

Flavor variations – Try LMNT Citrus Salt instead of Grapefruit for a different citrus profile, or add a splash of pomegranate juice for a deeper color.

The gut-friendly difference

Here’s what makes this different from typical party drinks:

Traditional cocktails: Alcohol disrupts intestinal bacteria, irritates the intestinal wall and dehydrates you
This mocktail: Hydrates, supports digestion with ginger, no intestinal irritation

Store-bought mocktails: Usually packed with sugar and artificial ingredients
This mocktail: Natural ingredients, optional sweetener, real fruit

Most party drinks: Leaves you bloated and sluggish
This mocktail: You feel energetic and good
