A landslide in Jammu and Kashmir’s series District caused the death of the Magistrate sub -division (SDM) of Ramnagar, Rajinder Singh and his son. The accident happened when SDM Rajinder Singh and his family returned to their native village Pattian van Dharmari in a Bolero vehicle.
The vehicle in which they traveled was hit by the landslide near Salukh Ikhter Nallah. While Rajinder Singh and his son died of their injuries and died on the spot, his wife and two family members were injured in the incident.
A rescue operation was quickly launched with the help of locals and police. All injured people were taken to a nearby hospital. After the first treatment, they were referred to in the critical condition in the district hospital.
The Lieutenant -Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, expressed sorrow about the loss of lives. He participated in the Van Rajinder Singh family and asked civil servants to guarantee the best treatment for the wounded and to provide support to the family.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo also expressed sorrow about death. He called Rajinder Singh a sincere officer who was respected by colleagues and the community. He expanded his condolences to the family and ensured that the administration will offer medical help and support to the injured.
