The state of Texas will teach students about the “dangers of communism” under a newly revised social studies curriculum.
If all states did this, perhaps we wouldn’t be about to see a democratic socialist (communist) sworn in as the new mayor of New York City.
It’s just amazing that we have a whole generation of young people who don’t understand how dangerous and backward this ideology is.

Texas requires students to learn about the ‘dangers of communism’ through a major overhaul of its new curriculum
According to a recent report, a rewrite of Texas’ social studies curriculum will require teachers to teach students about the dangers of communism.
“The new framework, known as the ‘comprehensive’ model, introduces a new chronological approach to history and indicates that the process will result in dramatically different new norms,” the Houston Chronicle reported.
The model, which will go into effect in the fall of 2030, “increases conservative bias on the board, increases the share of Texas history and eliminates standalone courses on world cultures,” the piece said.
“Third grade now begins with the ‘Birth of Western Civilizations’ and eighth grade will be a Texas history course.”
The State Board of Education approved the social studies plan in September on an 8-7 vote.
Under the revised standards, the curriculum will focus more on Texas history and American history than on world history and cultures.
The Houston Chronicle reported that Democrats on the board expressed concerns about the changes.

New legislation in New York state would require schools to teach students about the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
According to the New York State Senate, the legislation would amend the state education law to include instruction on the Jan. 6 insurrection as part of the state’s mandatory courses on patriotism, citizenship, civic education and values, shared history of diversity, religious tolerance and human rights issues.
The legislation, proposed by John C. Liu of New York’s 16th Senate District, is currently before the Senate Education Committee.
In recent decades, the left has been much more successful in integrating their message into our education system. The right must start taking this fight more seriously.
