First employees registered with the EPFO will earn 15,000 from 1 August under the new PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), said the Ministry of Labor and Employment on Friday. PM -VBRY, previously known as the labor -tied Incentive (ELI) scheme, was cleared by the Union cabinet with an edition of RS 99,446 Crore. “Focusing on the first employees who registered at EPFO offers the scheme an EPF wage of one month to RS 15,000 in two episodes,” the ministry said. The first episode is due after six months of service, and the second episode is due after 12 months of service and completion of a financial literacy program by the employee. The schedule is intended for people with salaries up to RS 1 Lakh. It will also encourage habit to save with individuals.
What is the advantage for employers?
For the scheme “part of the stimulans will be stored in a savings instrument or deposit account for a fixed period and the employee can be admitted by the employee at a later time,” the ministry said. The scheme also encourages employers to create new employment and is intended to offer benefits for generating new jobs in different sectors, with a special focus on the production sector. For employers, the regulation covers the generation of extra employment in all sectors, with a special focus on the production sector. “Employers receive stimuli with regard to employees with salaries up to RS 1 Lakh. The government will encourage employers, up to RS 3,000 a month for each extra employee with long -term employment for at least six months,” the ministry said.
How can the schedule be used?
For the production sector, stimuli will be extended to the third and fourth year. To use the scheme, EPFO-registered branches will have to hire at least two extra employees (for employers with fewer than 50 employees) or five extra employees (for employers with 50 or more employees) for at least six months. Although payments are made to first employees via the DBT mode (Direct Benefit Transfer) using the Aadhar Bridge Payment System (ABPS), payments are made directly to their pan-linked accounts, the ministry said. PM-VBRY scheme is intended to stimulate the establishment of more than 3.5 crore jobs in the country for a period of 2 years, the ministry said. “Of these, 1.92 CRORE profitors will be first timers and enter the workforce. The benefits of the scheme would apply to jobs created between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027,” it added.
