Is there anything more versatile than a classic polo shirt?
When it comes to menswear must-haves, the venerable polo is a staple for good reason. Whether chic or casual, the polo is both an essential sportswear item and the perfect option for a dinner with the in-laws.
Modern fabrics have allowed the polo to reach new heights of comfort and style, with light-as-air, moisture-wicking and smell-wicking fabric combined with collars that stay sharp even after a machine wash.

Peter Millar
I’m not really a fashion guy, but if there’s one thing I know, it’s that a classic polo with stripes or solid colors never goes out of style. But the real reason I’m always looking for the Peter Millar section is due to the nice roomy fit and the soft and smooth material. It also doesn’t hurt that the Peter Millar polos still make me think I’m medium, rather than big, at everything else. —Jack Hirsh
Peter Millar summer comfort polos
Our high-quality jersey and mesh fabrics are the gold standard for softness, style and stretch comfort.
Johnnie-O
Johnnie-O is one of those brands that I see several of my golfing friends gravitating towards – and now I know why. After purchasing a few of their polos this summer, they have become my favorite golf shirts: stylish, lightweight and – this is a big one for me – shape-retaining! Too many polos, especially polo collars, become misshapen after a few washes. But the Johnnie-Os in my closet—I have one Performance Jersey model and another from the Featherweight line—have withstood not only the test of sweaty days on the track, but also the adversity of the wash and dry cycles. I also love the surfer dude logo. Something about that puts me at ease. – Alan Bastable
Johnnie-O feather-light performance
Our Featherweight collection is 30% lighter than our standard jersey and wicks sweat, regulates heat and has built-in UPF 50.
Radmor
I keep reaching for Radmor polos, especially from their Hudson or Union lines. I’m hooked on cotton at the moment (completely on the feel of polyester) and they are as comfortable as any shirt I’ve ever worn. They also have a signature style, elegant but accessible, that suits golf in the Pacific Northwest. Bonus points for their location, just a short drive from my home in Seattle. —Dylan Dethier
