Colorado has not yet dedicated defensive lineman for the recruitment class from 2026, but five -star Lamar Brown can be the ideal fit to fill that gap. Just like former Buffaloes -striking Travis Hunter, Brown excels in both attack and defense at high school level.

Brown will announce his university decision in just two days, and on Monday he hinted on his ambitions on X with a cryptic post:

“Strive for that golden jacket !!”

Fans of Colorado flocked quickly to the reactions with their own recruitment fields.

“Golden Jacket is the Colorado,” they wrote.

“If that was the actual case, this decision would be over and you would be committed to CU and B taught by Golden Jacket DT Warren Sapp,” ” Another wrote.

“Do you know that there are 3 golden jackets that coach at Colorado, right?” Handed a fan.

However, Colorado is currently not seen as a leader, because Brown is expected to choose between Texas A&M and LSU next week. He also has Florida State and Miami in his top 4 schools.

“It really happened that I decided to play a line of defense at the university,” Brown told ON3. “Many schools wanted to play attacking line, but those four schools were those who found me the most difficult as a defensive Lineman.”

Fans from other programs also made their pitches.

“Come to Miami,” one Fan wrote.

“Statistics with purple ends with gold! 💜💛,” Another wrote.

“Kyle Field at night will shake the earth. Come on at home Big Dawg can’t wait,” A Fan added.

Brown is a striking from University Lab (Erwinville, Louisiana) and is, according to the ON3 industrial ranking, as number 1 athlete in the 2026 class.

Top Colorado Target Jordan Clay will announce Commitment on Friday

The best receiver of Colorado, Jordan Clay, will announce his decision decision on Friday and choose between the Buffaloes, Baylor and Oklahoma. The 6-foot-3, 200 pound prospect paid an official visit to Boulder on 6 June.

Clay goes to James Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas. He is the No. 94 Recruit in the Nation and the number 13 broad receiver in the 2026 class, according to the Rankings ON3 Industry.

The buffalo do not have a broad receiver who is committed to their 2026 class. From the recipients they have sent, a few have not been in the work so far, including Jewellz Parm, Dominic Sayu, Tylan Vickers, Jamar Denson, Jase Mathews and Jayden Warren.
