Go back – Brabus XLP 800 6×6 comes on

2 minutes, 54 seconds Read

We have recently been quite familiar with Brabus G-classes, where both the ‘Standard’ XL 800 and XLP 800 Adventure Truck are shown in recent months. But you know Brabus – they can never have too much good. So now there is an XLP 800 6×6 adventure available, which costs more than a million euros. Because there is of course.

As if the XL 800 revision is not enough in itself (a short memory in a second), Brabus now offers it as an XXL -pick -up. The thing is huge, completely 153 cm longer than the usual flatbed G-class thanks to Brabus’ expansion of the chassis via ‘a steel module with extreme torsional stiffness’. It is painted red, like so many accents in the car (including more than 200), as a reminder of the technical effort that has entered. It is not surprising that the loading bed is all new here, complete with pre-preg carbon compartment boxes (the mind that a 6×6 owner would place) as well as a soft teak panel for the floor. There are even ‘plane style tie down rails’ for downing things and a power retractable step back, people were actually allowed to use this as a pick-up. And not just for a millionaire Mad Max.

Everything that made the XLS so formidable has achieved the six -wheel drive (new drive shafts have been made for that). So the portal axes – all three – are here, complete with 47 cm ground freedom and ‘maximum asarticulation’; The suspension, again developed with kW, is adjustable from the interior. The adventure gets tailor -made wheelhubs, plus new control arms and enclosures for the axes, all Billet aluminum and again painted red. The 22-inch wheels are on all-terrain tires and in bulk carbows; Brabus says that the head can be seen ‘extremely awesome thanks to the enormous extensions’. Also don’t forget the light bars of the stadium spec. If you find somewhere for a pick-up of 6.2 meters G-class, this will be an incredible off-roader.

Guess what the fuel consumption of a Brabus XLP 800 6×6 adventure is. Combined, according to WLTP, it is 11.7 mpg. Yowch. CO2 was rated at 420 g/km. But then 800 hp and six driven wheels, plus so much this Ruddy, weighs would never come without a penalty. The Brabus 800 package for the venerable AMG 4.0-liter turbo consists of Bottrop’s own blowers, with a stimulus of 1.6 bar, as well as new injection, boost and inflammatory cards. If you are going to use a lot of fuel, you might as well use a load more for maximum performance. In addition to 800 hp by 6,600 rpm, 738LB FT torque is produced at 3,600 rpm. Apparently the 62 MPH will reach in less than six seconds – what a face to see that promises to be.

The rest of the adventure package is to be expected for a flagship Brabus. What is not leather is carbon, the back doors hinges 90 degrees for convenience of access, there are brabus logos everywhere and a side outlet to generate the deceased with a ‘thoroughbred V8 roar’. Nobody could accuse the XLP 800 adventure of anything but 100 percent Brabus.

Accordingly, each are built on order and adjusted to the buyer’s request. Maybe they let customers even have a different color than black, since they spend at least 1,161,000 euros (or just a smidge more than a million) before taxes. Yet a small price seems to pay for the ultimate G -class – an ordinary old Brabus seems very tame compared to …
