Gnabry: ‘It just works’ for pleasant Bayern Munich – Football News

Serge Gnabry loves life in Bayern Munich while the Vincent Kompany team continued their winning start of the Bundesliga campaign in an explicit way.

Bayern rode on Saturday to a 5-0 win over promoted Hamburg, with the Bundesliga champions going 4-0 within 29 minutes.

Gnabry opened the score in the third minute, with Aleksandar Pavlovic -net shortly thereafter.

Harry Kane converted a penalty and Luis Diaz helped himself for his third Bundesliga target for the half hour.

In his first three Bundesliga matches for Bayern, Diaz scored the same as the club record that was previously only achieved by Ruggiero Rizzitelli in 1996, Luca Toni in 2007 and Mario Mandzukic in 2012.

Kane doubled his count in the second half when Bayern riot ran and Gnobry explained how it was all clicked for a team that has already looted 14 league goals this season.

“In general, things are going very well for us as a team; it’s very nice,” he said.

“We play well together, move the ball well and have a perfect concept – it just works. To be honest, I don’t know why I scored my goal – but today it just went in.

“I am now in a good mood, train as usual, pushing hard. But as a athlete you also need a certain amount of happiness to make things succeed.

“Last year, after a good phase, my knee delayed me a bit. Now I am healthy, feel good, have confidence – and at the moment I am in the power.”

Bayern had 22 shots and got no less than 12 on goal, while limiting Hamburg to opportunities worth only 0.58 expected goals.

“Keep a clean Lee and score five goals – that was impressive,” said Kompany.

“The atmosphere in the stadium was just fantastic. It was almost like an Oktoberfest feeling, and it was really fun. We started well, which always helps.

“Everything went smoothly in the first half; we might have been able to do a little more in the second. But we played well, checked the game and added a different goal. In the end it is a very good result.

“You can see that we can get along better and better; many things are located now. We have worked hard so far for the victories, so we earn them.”

Bayern’s Focus is now focusing on the Champions League, while they start their campaign against Chelsea on Wednesday.
