To celebrate the Day of Malaysia, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that it offers ‘GM’ as a new series with a special number plate. This is currently available to offer until this Saturday (September 20, 2025) at the online auction platform of the department, JPJ Ebid, with the results announced on Sunday (September 21, 2025).
According to the department, ‘GM’ stands for ‘Memilang Malaysia’, and there will be five starting speed levels, depending on the selected number. Standard running numbers have a starting price of RM300, which increases to RM500 for popular figures.
In the meantime, attractive figures start at RM2.500, premium figures with RM5,000 and gold numbers (for example ‘GM 1’) have a minimum price of RM20,000. To align things, the Department has said that winning bidders from the ‘GM’ plot series will get two tickets for next year’s Super GT Malaysia, which takes place at the Sepang International Circuit of 19-20 June 2026.
