Glenn Sherlock, a fixed value of the Mes coaching staff in different capacities for the most of the past decade, has decided to retire.

“I have been so happy to work with so many wonderful people along the way,” Sherlock said in an SMS in the post on Tuesday.

Sherlock, 65, spent the past three seasons as the catching instructor of the team.

He was also the bank coach for Buck Showalter in the first season of the manager with the Mets.

Sherlock previously served as a coach of the third base and the first base coach at the Mets under managers Terry Collins and Mickey Callaway of 2017-19 before they spent three seasons with the Pirates in different capacities.

He started his coaching career with the Yankees – for whom he served as the first Minor League manager for Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera.

In the coming weeks there may be other changes to Mets coaching, after the disappointing season of the team that ended with the play -offs.

The most striking thing is that Team Brass has to decide on pitching coach Jeremy Hefner and touching coaches Eric Chavez and Jeremy Barnes.

For the first time, Sny reported Sherlock’s decision to retire.
