Crystal Palace took a narrow victory in the first stage of the play-off of the Conference League against Fredrikstad FK.
They will look to get the job done in the second stage away from home in Norway. There have already been speculations that the Eagles can be one of the favorites to win the tournament this season.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, however, has encouraged his club to be humble about the situation and not to worry about the future. He wants his team to concentrate on the present and continues to perform at a high level instead of worrying about winning the tournament.
Oliver Glasner has a warning
“I think it would be arrogant to think when you first play a game to talk about winning it,” He added through mirror.
“It is the first time that Palace plays outside of England in a competitive game (major European competition), so it’s important to stay humble, and this is what we do as a team.”

Glasner excelled in Palace

Glasner has done an exceptional work at Crystal Palace so far and he helped them win the FA Cup and the Community Shield. There is no doubt that they have the quality to also win the European tournament. They have a talented team and a top manager.
However, they must continue to perform consistently at a high level. In addition, they must look to add more quality and depth to the team before the window closes. They have to rotate their team enough to keep the players fresh during a busy campaign.
It will be interesting to see if they can add more quality in the remaining days of the window.
In the meantime, they will be the favorites to go the second stage against Fredrikstad FK. It is still to be seen whether they can do the job.
