The non-league team recorded a memorable 2-1 win over Moss Rose on Saturday afternoon, beating the holders in the third round.
Player of the match Paul Dawson headed the hosts into the lead on the stroke of half-time before Isaac Buckley-Ricketts doubled their lead in the second half.
Yeremy Pino scored a stunning free-kick late on, but it was nothing more than a consolation as Palace crashed out of the competition to a sixth-tier team.
Oliver Glasner seethes as Macclesfield shock Crystal Palace in the FA Cup
“Congratulations to Macclesfield,” Glasner told BBC Sport after the final whistle.
“We lacked any quality today. We conceded a set play from a header; we had to do better. The second goal was slapstick.”
“On the other hand, if you can’t create clear chances… it’s just a lack of quality that we showed today. We lost and we deserved to lose.”
“I looked for quality from everyone and brought in more attacking players [at half-time]but I have no explanation for what I saw today.
“In these kinds of matches you don’t need tactics. You just have to show what you can do and show a little pride, and you perform in a different way.”
“But today we lacked everything.”
Macclesfield will be in the hat for the fourth round draw, which takes place on Monday evening after Liverpool face Barnsley at Anfield.
