It is precisely during one of his countless trips that takes one of the most iconic photos of the last century: the portrait of the head of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, Zhou Enlai. An emblematic shot that started the twenty years of journey to discover a country and then far from Post -Water Italy, a China with a new face, with his political life, traditions, daily life.

An important page in the career of Maria Vittoria Backhaus is dedicated to fashion photography, confronted with initial distrust. It was Walter Albini who made her changed attitude and learned how much fashion complex was, far from just an aesthetic grill. On the other hand, Maria Vittoria Backhaus instead of the dress of the model privileged the story, in which photography is considered a means to create a project, to make images that recorded their gaze that brought back the spirit of time and the historical context, which brought the language of the report within fashion photography.

The two projects enrich the corpus of personal exhibitions of the Brescia Photo Festival, organized around the archive schedule, inaugurated with the first real Italian anthological of Joel Meyerowitz, on the way until 24 August in the Museum of Santa Giulia, and it will continue to Cavallerizza of Sandy BRAGLUNS with the Sandy Sandy Brog.
