Sena Dyche secured its first league win as Forest recovered from a goal down to take the points. Lukas Nmecha had put Leeds ahead with an arrow into the bottom corner, but the home side leveled just two minutes later through Ibrahim Sangare.
The introduction of Omari Hutchinson from the bench turned the game in Forest’s favour. The winger’s cross was met by Gibbs-White to head Forest into the lead, before Hutchinson was brought down for a late penalty.
Elliot Anderson stepped up to confidently earn an important three points for Forest, who moved within a point of safety.

“Big win. We went 1-0 down and it didn’t feel like we deserved it,” Gibbs-White told Sky Sports.
“The boys defended great and we created chances. The boys who came on helped the team. We got the three points and got it done.”
Gibbs-White praised the cameo from Hutchinson, who has had a tough time this season. The 22-year-old, signed from Ipswich in the summer, is yet to start a league game and was controversially left out of the club’s Europa League squad.
“He has been through a difficult period recently. He remained resilient and strong. He proved today why he should be in the 11.”
“I’m happy with another goal, but more importantly: we won.”
