London City Lionesses have signed Grace Geyoro from Paris Saint-Germain in a world record deal that is said to be worth £ 1.4 million (€ 1.6 million).
The reimbursement defeats the previous record of £ 1.1 million ($ 1.5 million) paid for Lizbeth Oalle by Orlando Pride to TIGRES last month.
It also improves the £ 1 million rate that Arsenal has issued to sign Olivia Smith from Liverpool that the record had set in July.
Geyoro is the 16th signing of London City of a busy transfer window, whereby the newcomers for Women Super League strengthen their team in the hope of staying in the top.
The 28-year-old joined PSG at the age of 15 and went through the ranks at the academy before making her senior debut in 2014.
She made 270 performances for PSG in all competitions, scored 53 goals, with 40 of those who came to the premiere ligue, and the club helped with the competition title in 2020-21.
Geyoro also won three Coupe de France titles and finished second in the Women’s Champions League twice, in 2014-15 and 2016-17.
Last season, Geyoro scored six league goals in 19 Starts and scored with a quarter of her general shots (24). She also had the joint assists among PSG players (four).
The French International has made 103 performances for its country and scored 22 goals, including two in Euro 2025.
Geyoro was not the only deadline day drawing of London City, who followed Jana Fernandez from Barcelona the club.
The first WSL match of the Lionesses is on Saturday against Arsenal, although Geyoro will probably have to wait for her debut, which could come across Manchester United on September 14.
