George Springer’s wife summed up her emotions in one word Monday following the Blue Jays’ Game 7 ALCS win over the Mariners.

On her Instagram Stories after the 4-3 home win — in which Springer’s three-run homer helped the Blue Jays to their first World Series berth since 1993 — Charlise Springer shared a photo of the star outfielder holding the William Harridge Trophy with the simple message: “Unwell.”

Follow-up posts highlighted glowing statistics about Springer, who has been with the Blue Jays since 2021, including how he ranks third all-time in postseason home runs with 23.

Of course, his heroics in Monday’s best-of-seven series finale will live on in Blue Jays lore, when he sailed a 300-foot drive to left field in the seventh inning, giving Toronto a 4-3 lead that it would not relinquish.

“It’s done again at the bottom of our order,” Blue Jays manager John Schneider said. “There’s probably not another person on planet Earth I want to reach other than George Springer and his October magic.”

Charlise, who has been married to Springer for seven years, also included a video of her husband’s victory lap on the Rodgers Center field, where he emerged from the dugout shirtless.

“The hero of Game 7 takes the field,” the caption of the post read.

The on-court celebrations weren’t limited to the players, with Charlise taking in the confetti-strewn scene with Nathalie Guerrero, wife of ALCS MVP Vlad Guerrero Jr.

The Blue Jays, winners of back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993, will face their biggest test yet against a powerful Dodgers team looking to make history as repeat champions, just as Toronto did 30 years ago.

“The job isn’t done yet. We still have four more to go,” Guerrero Jr. said.

The 36-year-old Springer won his first World Series with the Astros in 2017. He then signed a six-year, $150 million contract with the Blue Jays.

Springer and Charlise married in 2018 and are parents of two young children.

Game 1 of the 2025 World Series kicks off on Friday in Toronto.
