This 20-room mansion is located in the same neighborhood as the Clooneys and has a price tag of $26 million.
Hollywood star George Clooney now has French nationality and says he and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, are enjoying life in their farmhouse in the southern region of Provence.
“They don’t take pictures of children here,” 64-year-old Clooney told French broadcaster RTL.
‘There are no paparazzi hidden at the school gate.
“That’s number 1 for us.
“We also have a house in the United States, but our happiest place is on this farm where the children can have fun.”
Donald Trump has welcomed the news that the US-born star of The Ocean crime series is now French, saying Clooney has starred in “totally mediocre films”.

And Clooney, who has been critical of Trump in the past, has responded by saying he agreed with the president that “we have to make America great again,” starting with voting against Trump in the November midterm elections.
The Clooney estate, now home to George, Amal and their eight-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, is a 40-hectare vineyard outside the town of Brignoles, with 1,200 olive trees and a vegetable garden that cost $15 million (8.5 million euros).
The Oscar winner and his wife have an extensive real estate portfolio around the world worth $150 million, including an apartment in New York; a British country house and a villa on Lake Como in Italy, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Here are five properties currently for sale in the Brignoles region of France that will allow you to be a neighbor to the Clooneys, including a mega estate, a castle and even a riverside hideaway.
1. A grand mansion for $26 million
This promotional material for this incredible home actually hints at living alongside celebrities like the Clooneys, along with Brad Pitt and George Lucas of Star Wars fame in the story.
The 20-room, 11-bedroom detached house on 20 acres, for sale through the local Sotheby’s office, is described as being set in an “ultra exclusive setting” among ancient trees, lush woodlands and centuries-old vineyards with a private lake.
In addition to the luxurious main house, with the resort-style pool above, there are also two apartments and a recently renovated barn, ideal for parties, retreats or yoga sessions.
Thanks to the large panoramic windows you can enjoy “breathtaking” sunsets while relaxing by the fire.
2. A castle for $3.5 million
The castle was expanded at the end of the 19th century.
For about the price of a patio in inner-city Sydney or Melbourne, you could live in luxury surrounded by stars.
This beautiful 18th century castle on 7 hectares, for sale through the Daniel Féau Provence Agency, has 17 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
The residence was expanded at the end of the 19th century and offers approximately 750 m² of living space spread over three floors and is surrounded by centuries-old trees, has a fountain and three water features.
The castle is currently divided into four self-contained apartments.
The property is described as having great potential for a tourist activity, but you can also use all those bedrooms for your undoubtedly endless visits to friends and relatives from Down Under.
3. A luxury house for $3 million
Relax like a celebrity by the pool in the same neighborhood as the Clooneys.
The swimming pool of this luxury five-room house on a 1174 m² block looks fantastic.
Listed as Proprietes Privees, it is described as a “rare find” in a highly sought after and remote rural area.
It has apparently been tastefully built with high quality materials and there is an entrance hall leading to a bright living room, a dining room overlooking the terrace and pool, and a fully equipped separate kitchen.
The large master suite has direct access to the terrace.
But there is less room for guests – perhaps a good thing – as there are only three bedrooms in total and everyone would be fighting over that one bathroom.
4. A villa for $870,000
For the price conscious.
For the more budget-minded, there are options that cost around the level of an apartment in Blacktown or Penrith.
This recently built single storey villa is located in a quiet and popular area and there is also a swimming pool.
The entrance hall leads to a spacious and bright living room with an open, fully equipped kitchen, a utility room, three bedrooms and a bathroom.
It is all built on a 900 m² block and there is a terrace with a bioclimatic pergola, a vegetable garden, a gazebo and a large garage.
There is even air conditioning for the warm French summer days and nights.
5. A riverside hideaway for $1.4 million
If you’re looking for something bigger and with more privacy, you can’t go past this five-bedroom riverside property, which is also reasonably priced.
Back on the market after “a loan refusal”, the house sits on 2 hectares, surrounded by vineyards and wineries and bordered by 200 olive trees.
The stone Provencal farmhouse has a lot of character, there is a swimming pool, well and outbuildings and the possibility to attach an additional house.
The living area on the ground floor has a separate kitchen, dining room and living room.
There are also three bedrooms on the ground floor, along with a bathroom and shower room, and a large bedroom on the second floor.
A room in the basement, next to the cellar and laundry room, could also be converted into a bedroom.
The property is for sale through an independent real estate agent at Nicole Peyrot’s hame.
