The 2026 Genesis Invitational kicks off on Thursday, February 19 with the opening round at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California. Complete Genesis Invitational start times for Thursday’s first round can be found at the bottom of this post.
Recommended start time for round 1
The last time Scottie Scheffler played the Gensis Invitational in Riviera, he had just one major win to his name. A lot has changed for Scheffler and the tournament since then.
A year after wildfires in Los Angeles forced organizers to move the 2025 event to Torrey Pines, the event returns to its old home base in LA, with host Tiger Woods in tow.
Scheffler finished T10 at the 2024 Genesis at Riviera and has since added three more major wins and a boatload of PGA Tour wins, cementing his place at the top of the rankings Official world golf rankings.
He is yet to finish outside the top-4 this season, and at Riviera the world number 1 will be competing for his second win of 2026, along with the $4 million winner’s prize thanks to Signature Event status.
Scheffler will start Thursday at 2:37 PM ET for the opening round of the Genesis along with Xander Schauffele and Si Woo Kim.
