Gaza Peace Plan depends on Hamas’s decision after Trump, Netanyahu Back Deal

A proposal for Gaza sponsored by the US sponsored depends on Hamas’ answer to the 20-point plan that, according to US President Donald Trump, “more than very close” ends the two-year conflict in the enclave.
Mediators Qatar and Egypt shared the document on Monday after the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu together with Trump in the White House and promised his support for the proposal because he said it met Israel’s war goals.

“I also want to thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for the agreement with the plan and for the confidence that when we work together, we can put an end to the death and destruction that we have seen for so many years, decades, even centuries, even centuries and can start a new chapter of security, peace and prosperity for the entire region,” Trump said reporters.

It was not clear what the earlier doubts of Netanyahu had removed about elements of the proposal.
Hamas was not involved in the negotiation rounds in the run -up to Trump’s plan, which calls on the Islamist militant group to disarm, a requirement they have previously rejected.
“The Hamas negotiators said they would revise the in good faith and give a response,” said an official about the conversations.
Trump warned Hamas that if it rejects what he offered, Israel would have full American support to take every action it considered necessary.

The plan specifies an immediate cessation -the Fires, an exchange of all Hamas hostages for Palestinian prisoners in the hands of Israel, a staged Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas and the introduction of a transitional government led by an international body.

Hamas still to respond

Hamas had not officially responded to Trump’s proposal on Tuesday, and it was not immediately clear what was new about it, outside the broad support for the initiative expressed by Arabic and Muslim countries.

Many elements of the 20 points have been included in numerous ceasefires -the fires that are presented in the past two years, including it accepted and then rejected in different phases by both Israel and Hamas.

A source close to Hamas said that the plan was “completely biased for Israel” and imposed “impossible circumstances” aimed at eliminating the group.

“What Trump has proposed is the complete approval of all Israeli conditions that the Palestinian people or the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip do not grant legitimate rights,” said the Palestinian officer, who asked for not to be mentioned.

Other Arab countries Back Deal

It was unclear how Hamas would tell his reaction, because an absolute rejection could collide with a group of Arabic and Muslim countries who welcomed the plan.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi -Aarabia and Egypt gave a joint explanation and welcomed Trump’s proposal and underlined what they said were the “sincere efforts of the president to infain the war in Gaza.”
Some Palestinians greeted the plan and said it could put an end to the bombing and death, but they wondered if it would really end Israel’s control over the Gaza Strip.
“We want the war to end, but we want the occupation army who killed tens of thousands of us to get out and let us leave,” said Salah Abu Amr, 60, a six -year -old father from Gaza City.

“We hope that the plan will end the war, but we don’t know for sure if it will do, neither Trump nor Netanyahu can be trusted.”

In Gaza, Israeli troops pushed deeper into Gaza City and reached to the center of the territory, which Netanyahu described as the last Hamas bastion.
Israel has also performed his bombing of residential areas, forcing more families to leave, said witnesses and doctors.
At least two people were killed when the Israeli army blew up an explosively loaded vehicle in the beach camp in the city of West-Gaza, said doctors, while nine people, including a mother and five of her children, were killed in two separate attacks in Deir Al-Balah and Khan Youli in the South.
