The Colorado Rockies will try to regroup and recover from the mistreatment with which they were confronted on Friday by the Chicago Cubs. The attack sometimes turned things together, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a bad outing because of the starting pitching and the bullpen.
For the Rockies they will turn to Mccade Brown (0-1, 9.82 ERA) to start his second main class and first on Coors Field. His last start against the Pittsburgh Pirates did not go as planned because he gives four runs on five hits more than 3 2/3 innings work. He struggled with his command and published three walks to just two strikeouts. Brown will now be confronted with a more powerful Cubs setup, which means that he cannot afford to make too many mistakes. He will have to dig a little more in his Power Pitching properties and be able to work on being aggressive while he sees his fields better. It will be a real test for the young right -handed.
In the meantime, the Cubs turn to Javier Assad (0-1, 3.86 ERA). Assad missed the majority of the season with a sloping tension and returns this month to the schedule of Cubs. He has made three starts, stretched his pitch count while he comes back in shape. His last start against the Los Angeles Angels saw him only allow him one point on two hits about six innings work. He has thrown no more than 75 throws this month in one of his previous starts, but he has only allowed three walks with nine strikeouts.
