When the new Nicholas Cage series comes out, you’ll be able to watch it in ‘Authentic Black and White’ or ‘True-Hue Full Colour’.

Prime Video has released the first footage for its new series, Spider-black, starring Nicolas Cage in his first leading role on television, premiering in the fall.

Spider-black is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic ‘Spider-Man Noir’. Spider-black tells the story of Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a veteran, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life after a deeply personal tragedy as the city’s one and only superhero.

Produced exclusively by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video, the series will be available to stream in two ways, in “Authentic Black and White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” so audiences can choose their own journey to watch.

Characters are as follows:

Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage) – Previously, Ben Reilly was the superhero known as “The Spider”. After a personal tragedy, he stepped away from his heroic alter ego. Only in an extraordinary case could this hapless private investigator be made to drop the common man act and put his mask back on.
Robbie Robertson (Lamorne Morris) – A dedicated journalist trying to make it in 1930s New York, with all the odds stacked against him. He is willing to do whatever it takes for his career and for his best friend, Ben.
Cat Hardy (Li Jun Li) – The star attraction at the premiere nightclub in New York. It may seem like she always takes care of herself, but the truth is more complex than it seems at first glance.
Janet (Karen Rodriguez) – Smart, sloppy and loyal secretary to Ben Reilly. She wants to help her boss and his small business become successful, and she has no problem speaking the truth to power.

The full cast includes Academy Award®-winning actor Nicolas Cage (Adaptation, Pig), Emmy Award®-winning actor Lamorne Morris (Fargo, New Girl)), Li Jun Li (Sinners, Babylon), Karen Rodriguez (The Hunting Wives, Acapulco), Abraham Popoola (Atlas, Slow Horses), with SAG Award®-winning actor Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire, Day of The Fight) and Emmy Award®-winning and Academy Award®-nominated actor Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin, Harry Potter).
