It was a crazy battle for the early lead in the first corner. Indy Be Quick, Inter Mischief, Saint K, (betting favourite) and Victor Laszlo were forced wide as Fruit Snacker approached quarter pole. They managed to get a seat in front of the quarter pole.
Fruit Snacker won the early battle and parked Victor Laszlo, during an opening quarter in a poor 27.1
The much-used Victor Laszlo finally managed to get rid of the lead in front of the stands and roared to halftime in 55.4. (28.3)
Inter Mischief raced down the backstretch first, Dyladmar was taken to a second overbid while Fruit Snacker rested in the pocket.
Victor Laszlo remained in the lead and reached three quarters in 1:24.3 (28.4). A squadron of trotters was on the attack and came in at the top of the stretch. Inter Mischief continued his parked brush. Dyladmar and Indy Be Quick continued their menacing journey, circling three wide.
Fruit Snacker found space late along the pylons and won by a measured length in 1:54.4. He paid $8.40 for the win. Indy Be Quick finished second and Inter Mischief came third.
