From renewable energy to medtech breakthroughs: within the companies that are competing for Brisbane’s Lord Mayor’s Business Awards

Mayor Adrian Schinner said that the event 2025 would celebrate two decades of local companies that stimulate innovation and feed the economic momentum of Brisbane.

Global recognition
Brisbane is celebrated in the Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2024, creating $ 10.8 billion in ecosystem value. This recognition reflects the wider transformation that takes place in the capital of Queensland.

Since its foundation in 2006, the Business Awards of the Lord Mayor has honored more than 180 local companies and change farmers. This year’s categories include the Accenture Australia Product Innovation Award into individual recognition, including the Port of Brisbane Young Business Person of the Year Award. The wider startup eco system continues to produce impressive results, with Australian startups that collectively collect millions of every week in various sectors from MedTech to agricultural technology.
The finalists of the young business people are Alexandra French from Nadu, Jasmine O’Reilly of the Outlier Group, Dr. Navid Toosi Saidy from Propel Health Ai, and Rob Joseph from Anti Ordinary PTY Ltd.
In the meantime, the Business Person of the Year Award Brett Clark am from Chemist Warehouse, Michael Rayner am by Blight Rayner, Garth Chester from Valenhold and Karuna Mazzocchi from Coronis Group contains.
