Friday’s blog: Winter weather – and new names on social media

Now the winter weather has really started and we can admit that we were not prepared at all. When we got home from Bratislava, everything was frozen (not least the camper!) and at the same time we found other things to get our teeth into, like changing the name of our social media…

Travel here and there

We certainly travel almost all the time, but when we travel in our RV, we are “home” at the same time. Press trips are another matter. It’s a lot of fun, but also extremely demanding and tiring. We hardly have time to talk to each other and are behind on almost everything…

If you have some time in between, that’s fine, but if the trips come close together, it can be very intense and we may miss things (like preparing the mobile home for the cold).

However, when we got home, before Bratislava, we managed to make a short trip with the camper to Ekerö, where we did some tests with the Bluetti Pioneer Na.

Another thing Peter does to relax is cooking. I usually don’t take pictures, but sometimes I do. Eating Peter’s dinners is a bit like going to a restaurant, or what do you say!?

Winter weather

Suddenly the winter weather arrived! We really weren’t prepared for it, and it’s possible that’s because we’ve been on the road so much… Anyway, we hadn’t set up the camper yet and the cold was causing problems (think ice cold water, engines not wanting to start). We have been struggling with this misery for three days (and solved it!) and we will tell you more soon.

New names on social media

This week I woke up at 4am one morning and thought “we need to change our social media names”. When we started our Instagram account in 2014, “freedomtravel” wasn’t available yet, and the best we could come up with at the time was “freedomtravelnews.” This has been following us for years, but lately I have been feeling more and more dissatisfied. The word is so long that it becomes confusing and at the same time simply unclear…

Now we’ve changed the name of our social media! We are called freedomtravel.se everywhere, except on YouTube where points are not allowed, and therefore we are called freedomtravel_se. Here you can find us on social media:

This week: Thankful for…

This week we have been quite stressed and tired, but at the same time we are grateful for many different things. We are grateful for the opportunity to experience the wonderful journey in Bratislava, and we are also grateful to have had the opportunity to perform various health checks at the health center/hospital, which are part of the regular healthcare program in our country. This is not self-evident and we really appreciate that!

Next week

We are now home in Stockholm and that is true so nice. During this period we will work from home, but we will also go to various events and fairs. Then it’s time for the last foreign trip of the year. What will it be? We will return!
