Penn State led 2-0 after a playing period against the state of Arizona, seemed in the second powerless to delay the momentum of the Sun Devils. Partially helped by the penalties that the Nittany Lions took in the middle frame, the state of Arizona arose after the second period with a 3-2 lead.
But then Matt Dimarsico, Charlie Cerrato and JJ Wiebusch started cooking.
At 1:11, Dimarsico, Cerrato and Wiebusch came the game right for the Nittany Lions, with Dimarsico from behind the net that the Puck threw in front, and the puck that went from the skate of Sun Devil Sean McGurn.

The trio connected again at 8:04. Cerrato scored his second goal of the Night of Wiebusch and Aiden Fink at 6:07 PM and Dimarsico recorded his first collegial hat trick with a goals for empty just at 6:49 PM.
With his two goals and three assists in the night, Cerrato led all players with five points. Wiebusch had three assists and Fink had a goal and two helpers.
In his long -awaited collegial debut, Gavin McKenna had two points, the first assists on the two goals of Penn State. McKenna is generally considered as the opportunities the favorite to go number 1 in general in the NHL entry 2026.
Lost in the comeback is how good the second period of Arizona State was. Samuel Alfano scored the first goal of ASU at 8:16, without support after picking up the puck that Reese Laubach lost after stumbling in the end of Penn State. McGurn scored a Power-Play goal at 14:35 to bind the game, and Logan Morrell gave the Sun Devils their only lead of the night at 3:19 PM.
Each team had goalkeepers who made their first performances after switching from other Division I programs. For the Nittany Lions, Kevin Reidler stopped 35-of-38 for the victory. Reidler played for Omaha last season.
Connor Hasley spent three seasons with Bentley before he made the switch to the state of Arizona. In just before the Sun Devils, Hasley made 40 saves on 46 shots.

Quinnipiac’s Three goals from the second period opened an opening that Boston College could not close, and the Bobcats held up for a 4-3 road from the Eagles on BC’s Silvio O. Conte Forum.

Jeremy Wilmer opened the score for the Bobcats at 9:25 in the first, and the match was bound after a Teddy Stiga’s Power-Play goal with 15 seconds left in the period.
It was Matthew Lansing who started scoring for Quinnipiac at 2:13 in the second and the goal of Graham Sward less than three minutes later, the Bobcats gave a short 3-1 lead. Ryan Conmy pulled the Eagles again within one on the second Boston College Power-Play goal of the night at 6:31. Drew Fortescue had the last goal of the night at 4:31 to make it a 4-3 match.
Dylan Silverstein stopped 12 shots while the Bobcats kept the Eagles up to only 15 shots on goal. Jan Korec made 26 Saves on 30 shots for Boston College.
No. 8 Minnesota 6, Michigan Tech 3
Four goals of the third period gave Minnesota a 6-3 home victory on Michigan Tech in the opening match of this two-game set 3M Arena in Mariucci.
The second goal of Brodie Ziemer of the Night brought things at 50 seconds in the third period, with the goal of Brody Lamb at 4:13 and gave the Golden Gophers their fourth goal and victory.

It was Ziemer who opened the score at 3:54 in the first, and with the goal of Rylan Gould for Michigan Tech at 10:22, was the score after one.
With the Gophers late in the second, Michigan Tech scored twice within a period of one minute to take a 3-2 lead in the third.
Erik Påhlsson and Beckett Hendrickson have covered the score for the Golden Gophers in the third. Nathan Airey made 25 Saves on 28 shots for Minnesota.
In his first game for the Huskies after switching from Lindenwood, Owen Bartoszkiewicz stopped 28-34.
Colorado College 4, no. 10 Connecticut 2
With the score with 1-1 after one, Colorado College Vroe second period had goals from Brayden Schuurman and Philippe Blais-Savoie for Kaidan Mbereko’s solid goal congregation on the way to a 4-2 house upset in Ed Robson Arena.
Mbereko put 27 of 29 in the win, including important Saves in the second to help the Tigers hold the management.

The teams exchanged goals in the opening and final minutes of the first period. Connecticut led 1-0 when Joey Muldowney scored 53 seconds in the game. It took until 19:31 before Colorado College could respond with Owen Beckner Power-Play goal.
It was Blais-Savoie’s non-supported goal at 4:56 in the second to last as the winner of the game. Tabor Heaslip answered in the second at 12:08 for Connecticut, but that was as close when the huskies came. Klavs Veinbergs has closed the score for CC with the empty neat goal at 19:15 in the third.
In just before Connecticut, Tyler Muszelik stopped 34-of-38.
No. 12 Michigan 11, Mercyhurst 1
Michigan made an opening night with a 11-1 win over visiting Mercyhurst in Yost Ice Arena. Eight different Wolverines scored their first goals of the season, where Will Horcoff nestled his first career Hattrick after a performance of four goals in 18 games in 2024-25 as an advertisement in the middle season.
Michael Hage led all Wolverines with two goals and three assists, Luca Fantilli had the play-winning goal at 5:20 in the first and in his NCAA debut, Jack Ivankovic stopped 15-of-16.
Leading with 1-0 on the first career goal of Cole McKinney scored just over two minutes in the first, Fantilli scored from his knees, fed by McKinney on the other side of the ice rink. Michigan led 4-0 against 13:36 of the first period.

The Wolverines surpassed the Lakers 48-16 and Michigan hit 3-out-4 on the Power Play.
Tyler Desrochers scored Mercyhurst’s only goal of the night with just over a minute to go in the first period. Michael Chambre had 37 Saves for the Lakers.
No. 20 Wisconsin 3, Lindenwood 0
In his first NCAA competition, first-year Daniel Hauser earned his first career shutout and stopped all 22 shots with which he was confronted in the 3-0 way victory of Wisconsin on Lindenwood. Christian Fitzgerald scored the game-winning goal on the Power Play of Logan Hensler and Oliver Tulk at 9:27 in the first period.

First-year Grady Deering gave the badgers a 2-0 lead with his first collegial goal at 5:12 PM in the second. Ryan Botterill, assisted by Tulk, scored the empty-Net goal at 19:46 in the third.
Klayton Knapp, a transfer this season of Minnesota-Duluth, made 30 Saves in the night.
Umass Lowell 4, Merrimack 0
In the only conference game of the opening weekend, Umass Lowell Merrimack brought to Hockey East Action, 4-0, in Lowell’s Tsongas Center.
Austin Elliott earned his first career -shutout in his first NCAA match and stopped all 17 shots with which he was confronted. Mirko Buttazzoni had the game winner at 3:43 in the first.

In his first game with the River Hawks after switching from Niagara, Jay Ahearn scored his first two goals of the season, including the only Power-Play goal of the game. The first collegial goal of Tnias Mathurin was a shorty in the second period.
Max Lundgren had 32 saves for Merrimack on 36 shots.
Miami 6, Ferris State 4
After taking an early 1-0 lead on a Power-Play goal of Michael Quinn in the first, it cost Miami until halfway through the third period to regain that leadership and eventually hold on to a 6-4 victory over Ferris State in the home Rink of Redhawks, Steve Cady Arena.
The match was 2-2 after one after the teams had exchanged power play goals within the first 10 minutes and goals of even strength just over a minute apart later in the period.
Connor McGrath gave the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead after two, but the goal of Caper Nassen at 5:43 In the third was the first of three consecutive Miami-Justin Stupka at 9:12 and Matteo Giampa’s Power-Play Marker at 4:23 PM, who held the game-winning goal. Giampa’s goal was his second of the game and his first as Redhawk after switching from Canisius.
First-year Matteo Drobac won Miami and stopped 32-of-35 shots with which he was confronted. Noah Ruppprecht, a transfer of Long Island University, made 35 Saves on 41 Schoten.
Canisius 3, Clarkson 1

The Golden Griffins led 1-0 after the first on Walter Zacher’s Power-Play goal at 12:05. Zacher is a transfer from Robert Morris this season.
Andrew’s goal gave the Griffins a 2-0 lead after two, but first-year Matthew Mayich he pulled Golden Knights within one at 13:33 in the third. Grant Porter had the empty net goal for Canisius at 19:47.
In just before Clarkson and in his first NCAA match, Shane Soderwall made 29 Saves. Shots were tied up at 32 each.
