Shibuya Song will be introduced on Thursday in Southwell in the three mile conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle. This time we will leave the headgear and on one of her best form she would certainly have a chance in this competition.
We currently have few runners, but hopefully we have some flat runners in October before some jumpers make their seasonal debut. Beloved to violate a few this week while we are building up until the start of the season with Finn Lambert who did most of the training.
My ‘Birthday Golf Classic’ competition on Wednesday was very pleasant with eight four-balls that went out in the beautiful September sun in Cotswolds Club, Chipping Norton. Congratulations to the winning team of Rob Dalziel, Hugh McNeill, Stephen Beach and Finn Lambert who beat last year’s winning team of Gordon Clarkson, Warren Marston, Jay Taylor and Barry Denvir. Chris Nash, Mark Pougatch, Arty Armytage and I have not harassed the judge, but we can remember the good shots and there was a nice day.
It was great to welcome Antonio (main photo) and his family this morning in the garden. Antonio met his very first racing horse in the African Caribbean Center in Leicester during the National Racehorse Week and she took the invitation to visit the horses, especially fighting poet we went to the center that week. There are some beautiful pictures of Antonio and others who deal with our Brighton specialist during his visit and Antonio and his family reunited with him today.
It was brilliant to see the fighting poet again with his friends and it is a perfect example of how the National Renpaardweek can deal with those who have never seen a life life in the past.
