Fresh warning for Australian travelers in the midst of ‘deep concern’ over Thailand-Cambodia Clash

Australia is “deeply worried” by escalating tensions about the Thai-Cambodian border, said Foreign Minister Penny Wong, while they encouraged travelers to reconsider visiting certain areas.

“Australia is deeply concerned by escalating tensions to the Thais-Cambodian border, including reports of injuries and loss of life,” said Wong on X on Friday on X.

Travel advice for Thailand and Cambodia

Border Clashes: What we know so far

Preah Vihear was assigned to Cambodia by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in 1962, but the tensions escalated in 2008 after Cambodia tried to mention it as a UNESCO world heritage site.
