Delhi received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday morning, causing a welcome lighting to enchanting high humidity and rising temperatures.
Various areas in the city, including Firoz Shah Road, experienced light to moderate showers during the day.
The showers brought down temperatures and offered lighting of the persistent humidity in recent days. Communits welcomed the cool breeze and decrease in the temperature.
On Saturday evening, heavy rainfall made parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). A similar pattern was observed on Friday, with heavy showers that led to flooding and traffic grin in different parts of the capital.
The rainfall, which started on Wednesday evening, has continued in recent days, which brings lighting by high temperatures and sticky weather conditions.
Conducted skies have been sustained in the region. However, the continuous rains have also caused water in many parts of Delhi, so that vehicles navigate through water -curved roads.
On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed his concern about the flooding situation in the city and led officials of the departments involved to take immediate and effective measures to tackle the issue.
She emphasized the importance of guaranteeing public convenience during the monsoon season. This year, the monsoon arrived in India for eight days, causing heavy rainfall and flooding in different cities, which disrupted daily life in many areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a “generally cloudy heaven with moderate rain” for the national capital in the coming days.
