The Ministry of Transport and its agencies will participate in the government’s Rancakkan Madani event at Zon G, Dataran Putrajaya this weekend (December 5-7) and MoT will bring treats and services to the attendees. The event from 9am to 9pm is of course free and open to the public.
There is a free helmet exchange program for motorcyclists, with 5,000 units allocated for the three-day program. All you have to do is bring an old, broken or non-Sirim specific helmet to exchange for a new one. This is for Malaysian citizens aged 16 years and over (bring your MyKad for verification), limited to one unit per person.
Anyone who wants to legally become a motorcyclist can register for the MyLesen B2 program during the event. MyLesen B2 offers free B2 motorcycle licenses, with the cost of RM350 for each license covered by the government. In July, the MoT announced 10,000 additional slots worth RM3.5 million for this year.
This is for Malaysian citizens in the B40 group who have never had one read for. One must be at least 16 years old on January 1, 2026 and be free from any PDRM, JPJ or court blacklist, apart from being physically and mentally healthy (sihat fizikal dan mental). Priority is given to members and students of Kadet JPJ. The quota is 5,000 places.
Finally, JPJ will have a stand where outstanding payments can be made together with 50% discount. This is not a special discount for events, but part of the half-price ‘last call’ offer that started on November 1st. The government says there will be no JPJ or PDRM saman discount after January 1. In October, Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced a new one together structure according to the principle ‘The less you postpone, the less you pay’.
Once again, the Rancakkan Madani event will be held this weekend (December 5-7) at Zon G, Darat Putrajaya, from 9am to 9pm.
