Victims of Lombard Women of Violence could soon obtain the exemption from the ticket for performance (health and psychologically) related to the violence suffered. Two movements (but originally three) were unanimously approved by the Regional Council on Tuesday afternoon.
The first document integrated a motion by Alessia Villa (Fratelli d’Italia) and one by Paola Bocci (Democratic Party). Villa’s text involves the junta to predict the exemption for gynecological, infectious and psychiatric visits, as well as blood and hematochimical and serological tests, tampons, psychological interviews and, finally, free of charge for some classes of drugs, especially for prophylaxis after exposure and more.
The text of Bocci commits the Junta to prepare a exemption code for the victims of gender violence and for reasons related to sexual orientation and gender identity (therefore not only women), who also extend the exemption to the orphans of femicide and to promote the lombards to the lombards know the existence.
Exemption for 3 years
The exemption would have a maximum duration of 3 years and at least not the duration of the management of the anti -violence centers. “Cases of violence against women – said Alessia Villa during the presentation of the text – are growing dramatically. In Anti -Geweldcentra, the number of women who took over the leadership in 2023 is about 6 thousand. The profile of the victims of the victims emphasizes how those who are occupied are 45%, and the qualification is medium: 44% graduated.
In Lombardy there are 27 territorial anti -violence networks, composed of the leading municipalities, as well as 57 anti -violence centers and 157 hiding places of houses. The exemption from the ticket, added Alessia Villa, “is a good sign to guarantee medical and psychological treatments without any barrier in a moment of extreme vulnerability for those who have suffered violence. Other regions have already done this, such as Piedmont in 2016, Veneto in 2025 and the autonomous province of Bolzano in 2024”.
Not just women
“We have done an excellent job to support an important proposal, in favor of the victims of gender -based violence”, the remark of Paola Bocci and the group leader of the PD Pierfrancesco Majorino: “It was useful to have two movements come together, one of us and one of the FDI”.
The second approved document was presented by Silvia Scurati (Lega), who preferred to integrate its text in the others, because in the field the references to the measures were already hired in the region in the region to support female victims of violence.
