Holmes was shaky against the Braves on Tuesday and blows a four-run lead while allowing six hits and five earned runs in 3 ²/₃ innings.
It marked the second time in three starts that the former reliever could not pass the fourth inning.
“He’s going to get opportunities,” said Mendoza.
