We’re still a long way from Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 11, but Monday brought some major team news updates on a handful of big names.

The managers of Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur faced the media ahead of their UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday evening, with the key quotes below.

ARSENAL

Vitkor Gyokeres (muscle) will sit out the Gunners’ Champions League match against Slavia Prague on Tuesday.

The forward came off at half-time during Arsenal’s win over Burnley on Saturday after scoring in the opening 45 minutes.

Mikel Arteta revealed that Gyokeres has not trained since, and further evaluation will follow.

“He is absolutely unavailable. He has not trained today and we still need to do some tests and scans in the coming days to understand the extent of the injury, but [for] it is not available in this game.

“I’m worried because he hasn’t had many muscle problems and he had to leave the field. He felt something and that’s obviously never a good sign, especially for a player who is very, very explosive. So we’re going to dig a little further to understand where we stand in terms of the injury and we’ll announce it as soon as we know more.” – Mikel Arteta on Viktor Gyokeres

Elsewhere, Gabriel Martinelli was not spotted during training on Monday, having missed Gameweek 10 with an unknown problem.

We haven’t had an update on him from Arteta.

Also absent was the backup goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Long absences Martin Odegaard (knee), Call Maduyke (knee), Kai Havertz (knee) and Gabriel Jesus (knee) remain outside.

Martin Zubimendi did training after asking to be substituted on the weekend. However, he cannot handle Slavia due to suspension.

LIVERPOOL

Alexander Isaac (groin), Alisson (hamstring) and Jeremy Frimpong (hamstring) will all miss Liverpool’s match with Real Madrid.

Alisson and Frimpong will also not be back for Gameweek 11, although there is a chance Isak could return for the trip to Manchester City.

“All three are not available for tomorrow.

“Jeremie and Alisson will both be unavailable on Sunday.

“We have to wait and see with Alex. Certainly not from Sunday, but maybe he can be involved in the team. He is still not training with the team, so we have to wait and see.” – Arne Slot

Curtis Jones was involved in practice on Monday after missing the past two games due to an unspecified problem.

Jayden dance (hamstring), Stefan Bajcetic (hamstring) and Giovanni Leoni (ACL) also remain outside.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

The absence of Mohammed Jerusalem And DJ Spence Training on Monday led to more injury concerns for the Lilywhites.

The pair have indeed suffered blows, but it is expected that they will perform against FC Copenhagen anyway.

“Djed and Mo took a hit. They could and should be available tomorrow.” –Thomas Frank

It’s not such good news about it Lucas Bergvall: He has been added to Spurs’ long list of absentees after walking off with a head injury in Gameweek 10.

The concussion protocol not only rules him out of Tuesday’s meeting with Copenhagen, but also from the Gameweek 11 visit to Manchester United.

“Lucas has suffered a concussion, which was probably quite evident in the footage. A lot of credit to the medical team because it’s a difficult situation to be in when a match is already two minutes in and all is said and done. Well done because the player’s health is the most important thing.”

“He’s out for the next two games.” – Thomas Frank about Lucas Bergvall

Dominic Solanke (single), James Maddison (knee), Radu Dragusin (knee), Archie Gray (calf), Koto Takai (foot), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Yves Bissouma (single) and Ben Davies (muscle) all remain outside.
