Tottenham Hotspur’s breathtaking freefall continued on Thursday evening, although the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) attention turns to the Crystal Palace defender’s early injury. Daniel Munoz (£5.9 million).
Here are our scout notes from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
INJURY TO MUNOZ
A seventh minute clash with Spurs João Victor de Souza (£4.0m) landed Munoz heavily on his right shoulder. He was only able to hold out for a few more minutes before being taken off, remaining at one FPL point.
“He’s wearing a shoulder brace. We’ll do further tests. Hopefully it’s not too bad.”
“He says it doesn’t feel that bad, just a shoulder [issue] It is always difficult, hopefully not for too long.” – Oliver Glasner on Daniel Munoz, from the London Evening Standard
Meanwhile, those who have covered Palace’s defense via Chris Richards (£4.4m) received Defensive Contribution Rewards (DefCon) and achieved four points.
FROM OR VEN SUSPENSION

Ismail Sarr‘s (£6.3m) offside goal – disallowed because of his face – was a warning of what was about to happen. But the opener actually came from close range Dominic Solanke (£7.2m) inflow.
Things were looking good for Spurs. But it didn’t take long for self-destruction to rear its ugly head again.
Sarr was soon fouled by the last man Micky van de Ven (£4.4 million), which results in a red card and a penalty. The centre-back is still part of over 2.8 million squads and has a -3 points rating, despite a million active managers having dumped him before the last six deadlines. He will now miss Gameweek 30.
A SARR BRACKET

Fifteen minutes after Solanke’s goal, that lead had already turned into a 3-1 halftime deficit.
Sarr’s penalty was sent off Willem Vicaris (£4.7 million) in the wrong direction, Jorgen Strand Larsen (£6.1m) fired a shot through his legs before the Senegalese international scored again. The last two were assisted by a 10-pointer Adam Wharton (£5.0 million).
Many Spurs fans were left furious at the interval performance by Team GB’s curling silver medalists.
As for Sarr’s FPL prospects, moving forward with the fines is promising. But he has one Morgan Rogers-ish (£7.5m) tendency to burn managers who buy him enthusiastically straight after these occasional puffs.
For example, last season he scored three goals in matchweeks 16 and 17, and then none in the next nine games. Another three came between gameweeks 27 and 28, followed by another nine games of nothing.

However, if you think Sarr (or Strand Larsen) is a risk worth taking, Palace’s next games are at home to Leeds United, Newcastle United and West Ham United. Some fun ones, but Blank Gameweek 31 should navigate if this is confirmed soon.
GW30: CAPTAIN EKITIKE?

So, at what point should the football world start seriously considering Tottenham’s relegation?
This defeat may have been the moment.
They were winless in eleven games and conceded at least two goals in nine consecutive games. The team that just finished fourth in the UCL competition phase is one point outside the bottom trio.

There are rumors that interim boss Igor Tudor could be on his way after just three games. He tried to shake things up by making four changes from the weekend Xavi Simons (£6.5 million) and Conor Gallagher (£5.3 million) to the bank. But it didn’t work, even though they started the second half a little better.
Yet the club is in total disarray, as evidenced Pedro Porro (£5.1 million) lost his head when he was replaced, screaming in anger.
Perhaps Spurs are the only opponent where there would be confidence in Liverpool’s captain Hugo Ekitike (£9.1 million). After all, the Frenchman mainly frustrates the owners in away games, and not at home, where he has two double-digit goals from his last three.
Let’s see how the upcoming FA Cup action unfolds before we go all-in on the Anfield hosts of Gameweek 30.
