GAME WEEK 7 REVIEW

FPL General's Gameweek 8 squad revealed + transfer plans 3

Gameweek 7 was a good one, after the disaster of Gameweek 6. Three free transfers brought in the captain Bukayo Saka (£9.9 million), Mark Senesi (£5.0 million) and Nick Pope (£5.1 million). Went out Tijani Reijnders (£5.8 million), Marc Cucurella (£6.1 million) and Emiliano Martinez (£5.0 million).

The resulting 72 points resulted in a rank increase of more than one million places. Hopefully now I can gain some momentum and regain as much ground as possible. I am looking forward to the challenge and have heard this from a reliable source Erling Haaland will calm down soon.

Either way, it’s good to have Saka back in the fold for the armband. He will probably get it again this week when he visits Fulham. Can we all agree in advance that if he passes the ball to Viktor Gyokeres (£9.1m) before the next Arsenal penalty, will it be recorded as an assist?

Meanwhile, what a season Antoine Semenyo (£7.9 million). The 18-pointer from last time was a nice start to the Gameweek. He is another player I can now lean on as captain if Bournemouth have a favorable fixture.

Yet Mohamed Kudus’ (£6.8m) points were the best of all. There is a lot of competition in his price range and it wasn’t easy to keep faith in him after three out of four blanks, but it paid off. He’ll probably stay for a while.

Pope and Daniel Munoz (£5.6m) did it in defense. The Crystal Palace full-back is such a good Fantasy choice. During the Everton game I saw him get into goal-scoring positions repeatedly, so he’s not going anywhere either.

The plan was to buy both Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.3m) and Saka, but the Brazilian’s slight injury put me off. I chose Senesi instead, perfectly timed as it was his first time without defensive contribution points (DefCon).

Attackers are a nightmare right now. All three blank again. Nevertheless, there are no real striking replacements. Gyokeres and João Pedro (£7.7 million) they have a good match, so they get at least another week. However, Chris Wood (£7.3 million) must go soon.
