FPL General, who have three top 500 finishes to their name, are looking to go completely without Mohamed Salah (£14.2m) and Erling Haaland (£14.9m) this season. Here he reveals his team plans for Gameweek 13.
Gameweek 12 review

When Erling Haaland (£14.9m) blanks, this usually results in a green arrow. If only it would happen more often! The last two Gameweeks have been great, with the ranking rising over a million places, but this weekend everything could be turned around when the Norwegian goalscoring machine plays against Leeds United at home and many Triple Captain chips are activated for it.
The first goal of the season was scored last week Bryan Mbeumo (£8.6 million) and Igor Thiago (£6.5 million). Mohammed Jerusalem (£6.5 million) and Viktor Gyokeres (£8.8 million). We were so close to a Thiago 13-pointer against Brighton. He could end up being my captain for Gameweek 13 at home to Burnley. Manchester United’s failure to score against 10-man Everton was a painful sight as new Mbeumo owner.
I hoped so Antoine Semenyo (£7.9m) was due to start after his layoff due to injury, but in the end I was lucky Joachim Andersen‘s (£4.5m) 10-pointer from the bank.
The five blanks in a row for Ismail Sarr (£6.7m) have tempted me to jump ship earlier than planned. There are many attractive alternatives that are committed to inclusion. Jean-Philippe Mateta (£8.1m) hasn’t produced enough lately either, with three blanks out of four. The substitution in the 59th minute is worrying.
I could have done it with Haaland’s blanking Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) is going to be big. Getting a solid captaincy return has been the biggest challenge this season. At least he has DefCon! Sakalele is the best nickname I’ve heard in a while…
Gameweek 13 Bus Team

There is one free transfer available and £0.7m in the bank. The Free Hit was played a few weeks ago. The only chip I have left for the first half of the campaign is the Triple Captain.
At the beginning of the week I convinced myself to buy Phil Voet (£8.0m) and give him the armband, possibly even a big bet on the Triple Captain. Now I’m not so sure. Not having any Manchester City signings for this good run of upcoming games doesn’t seem like the best idea. I expect Pep Guardiola’s side to beat Leeds comfortably, and that’s where Foden’s temptation comes into play. However, the fact that Foden has only managed two attacking returns all season doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Haaland soaks up everything in their attack! If Foden were to come in, Semenyo would be the player to make way.
I already have a good captain option in Thiago with a great game, but I still find it difficult to captain a Brentford player no matter how good the game is. I think I’d rather bet on Foden…
Moving the transfer to midweek is also an option. As it is Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.4 million) this Jurriën Hout (£6.3m), but Chelsea away isn’t the best timing for that transfer.
Another route is what Sarr is after Kevin Damage (£7.0 million), Yankuba Minteh (£6.2m) or Morgan Rogers (£6.9 million).
I’m very unsure about the decisions this week. At least it’s a later deadline on Saturday, which gives me more time to think about it!
It will be a damage control week with all the chips active. The potential swings could cause absolute carnage in the FPL community this weekend. Strap yourself in!
Good luck to the Gameweek people and have a nice weekend.
