FPL Gameweek 4 Differentials: Elliott, Truffert + Paqueta

Spot the Differential Highlights Three Players who all have a 5% owned by Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

This time we opted for picks of low ownership of Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Ham United, who we think have the potential to have an impact on game week 4 and then.

Harvey Elliott

With Aston Villa in a desperate need for creativity, it can be the perfect time to bring in budget midfielder Harvey Elliott (£ 5.4 million).

It has been a surprisingly slow start for the side of Unai Emery, who did not score in one of their first three games (New, Bre, Cry), with only 2.53 expected goals (XG).

However, the view of the fixture is very positive.

Villa will visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, before taking it against Sunderland, Fulham and Burnley in further favorable matchups before the next international break.

The journey from Saturday afternoon to Everton seems particularly promising from an attacking perspective. They are still early days, but the side of David Moyes is among the worst three games for Statsbomb XG that has admitted this season:

Regarding Villa, Elliott’s Deadline Day arrival should add some much needed quality and intensity to their attacking game.

Despite the fact that regular minutes are hard to find in Liverpool, Elliott was often impressed, giving three goals three goals in five UEFA Champions League performances last season. He was also called the player of the tournament at the U21 European Championship in the summer.

Elliott is not 100% nailed to start with Gameweek 4, but it fits perfectly with the profile that Villa has searched this summer, and there is a strong possibility that it will appear from the right or in a no. 10 roll. Even when he starts wider, he will be looking for the floating inner field and go on the ball in more central areas.

“For me, now it’s about going into it as a player. The only way to do that is to play games and there is no better place to do that than here, especially with the manager, his philosophy, the way he plays and his confidence in younger players.” – Harvey Elliott

In particular, the threat from Elliott from a distance can be the key in Everton on Saturday – no side has admitted more shots from outside the box this season than the Toffees, with 21.

Adrien Truffert

  • FPL ownership: 1.1%
  • Price: £ 4.5 million
  • GW4-8 Luminaires: BHA | NEW | Lee | Ful | shout

Owned by just over 1% of the fantasy managers, Adrien Truffert (£ 4.5 million) has made an impressive start of his career in Bournemouth.

Seamless inside Milos is coming (£ 6.0 million) Left back he recorded his most advanced position of the season so far during his recent home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers:

The fact that he received 19 passes in the last third part, most of each player except Antoine Semenyo (£ 7.4 million), and attempted six crosses from Open Play also offers optimism, especially with back-to-back house meetings on the horizon.

Crucial is that Gameweek 4 opponents Brighton and Hove Albion have admitted a competition-high 15 chances in their right flank this season, compared to only one on the left (see image below).

That is something that truffles and Semenyo will certainly want to benefit.

“We have a good understanding and train since the start of the preseason. The boy can run!” – Antoine Semenyo on Adrien Hit

“We believe a lot. He played against a player who is very good. I think he was exceptional. He was a cramp at the end. He combined very well with Antoine on the left.” -Andoni Iraola on Adrian Truffert, speaking after the 1-0 victory of Bournemouth op Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 3

The clean leaf prospects of Bournemouth also seem fairly promising.

The Cherries have already excluded Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur this period, and in the 2024/25 season they only admitted 16 goals on Home Turf, the joint of each team in the Premier League.

Moreover, the list of fixture remains friendly for Bournemouth until the end of October, so Truffert seems like a good option for the longer term.

Lucas -package

  • FPL ownership: 2.4%
  • Price: £ 5.9 million
  • GW4-8 Luminaires: To | Crying | Eve | Ars | BREAD

Another player who has produced points in the last two game week is Lucas -package (£ 5.9 million).

The Brazilian scored a nice strike from outside the box against Chelsea in game week 2, before rolling a penalty home in the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest prior to the international break.

During this time frame, Paqueta made five shots and three important passes.

He also recorded 32 defensive contributions (Defons) this season, which earned him two extra points in Gameweek 3.

Observing Paqueta, it is clear that a weight was lifted out of his shoulders after he was cleared from spot fixing, and he is clearly in shape after a disturbed 2024/25 campaign.

“He is a player we understand, we love, his quality is incredible. Our challenge is to help him bring it to the best of their ability, to match what we try to do. If we can do that, he is a huge asset to us.” – Graham Potter on Lucas Paqueta

Tottenham Hotspur could prove to be the ideal opponents for Paqueta in game week 4. This season, the LilyWhites admitted 11 important passes of the middle third, the pursuant to each team.

The fact that Paqueta is also confronted with Crystal Palace, Everton, Brentford and Leeds United in the next six game week makes him an interesting option, especially with so many routes to points, including fines, open play assistant potential and Defons.

With his property that is currently only 2.4%, Paqueta can be the perfect option for those who are looking for a Hermila Hare (£ 7.5 million) Replacement.
