Three goals, monsoon conditions, two first half of red cards and three replacements after 20 minutes: the early evening kick-off in Old Trafford on Saturday was a lively affair.
Here are the most important collection restaurants from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective.
Another/the same Palmer injury
Despite the insistence from Enzo Maresca that Cole Palmer (£ 10.4 million) was “ok”, he was clearly not.
Palmer felt his groin towards the end of a 90-minute run-out against Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The discomfort of the Lies is of course nothing new for the English international. It had forced him to withdraw from the starting XI in game week 2 and he was then out for weeks.
According to the Well connected Simon PhillipsThe problem even dates from before the FIFA Club World Cup.
So that everyone knows, Cole Palmer has been injured since the CWC. They gave him pain injections to play. Nothing only appeared on the scans, but he has constantly had discomfort in his groin and it has not disappeared. Brand from it as you want.

And on Saturday those problem points forced him after just 20 minutes.
“Cole, he tried this morning, he had a test this morning to play this game, he was not 100% fit. He made a fantastic attempt to play this game, but he was not 100%.
“It is a problem that has long been for him, his groin. Again, he did a test this morning, he wants to play this game for the team, to be close, so the effort has been huge, but after 20 minutes he started to feel something, so we decided to change him.” – Enzo Maresca on Cole Palmer
It raises the question about what the next course of action is for Chelsea, and if he is worth the hassle in FPL.
Why Sanchez is not marked in FPL
Chelsea stood up at an early stage on Saturday.
The blues were up to 10 men before Palmer came off, with Robert Sanchez (£ 5.0 million) rejected in the fifth minute before the refusal of an obvious goals.
That attack bears a ban on one competition, but as you may have seen, there is no red flag next to the name of the Chelsea goalkeeper in FPL.
The reason? Chelsea is in EFL Cup promotion in Lincoln City on Tuesday, so Sanchez will serve his suspension in that match.
Sanchez’s resignation saw Maresca not making one but two replacements, not just throwing on replacement goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen (£ 4.4 million) but also center half Tosin Adarabiyo (£ 4.5 million), which had fallen for this game.
Chelsea’s starting two wing players left.
“The reason why we changed Pedro [Neto] and Estevao [Willian] Was because they always attack with the five players, and we defend with the four, and we can defend with the four when we are 11 vs 11, but 11 against 10, I think we should defend the width, so we decided to go five, this is why. ” – Enzo Maresca when applying his two early changes
A difficult game to contextualize
Because Chelsea was brought back to 10 men so early, this was a difficult game to judge. Maresca withdrew to a 5-3-1 after the resignation of Sanchez and only had one shot of an angle-in the first half.
It must be said that United had started the stronger of the two parties, even before the red card. They were faster out of the blocks, more aggressive, and had already tested Sanchez Bryan Mbeumo (£ 8.1 million). And for the Red Card incident, Mbeumo – the choice of the attackers of United – would have scored if he was not fell.
Benjamin Sesko (£ 7.3 million) had called in the ball for Mbeumo to run for sending, a small glimpse of the link-up play that United fans hope to see when those expensive front three are in full swing.
“The players must take the space when Ben [Sesko] goes for the ball, and that’s what Bryan [Mbeumo] Did. ” – Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes (£ 9.0 million) was again in central midfield. The fact that he was deeper into it again, even with Matheus Cunha (£ 8.0 million) and Mason Mount (£ 5.9 million) Only sufficient for the replacement, simply underlines where he will spend most of this season.
Fernandes scored at least from his central midfield location and timing his run perfectly to puncture up close.
“He scored a goal like a midfielder, so I’m really happy with that!” -Ruben Amorim in a tongue-in-cheek post-match comment after recent criticism of his decision to use Bruno Fernandes in midfield
After Casemiro‘s (£ 5.5 million) led the goal, and especially after the 45th minute red card from the Brazilian, that was a bit of it. Sesko went off with Interval, while Ruben Amorim turned the store off with the numerical advantage. United pose little threat; Only two shots after they went 2-0.
But then Chelsea didn’t collect many opportunities either. Only four efforts in the second half, with Trevoh Chalobah (£ 5.1 million) Reducing the overdue arrears with a header. Even that is difficult to judge, because at that time Maresca had his three starting attacking midfielders addicted and there was little in the way of a nutrition line for it Joao Pedro (£ 7.8 million).
Defcon watch
Chalobah is now jointly top of the FPL defender table. He can also get two Defcon points; Our OPTA data Has him in 10 contributions in this game, FPL on nine. Let’s see if there is an adjustment to both figures on Sunday.

Moises Caicedo (£ 5.6 million) has Bank Defcon points for the third consecutive game week and is itself third in the Points Table of the FPL -Middenvelders.
