Crystal Palace is the only side with an unbeaten record in the Premier League this season after an exciting 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday.
From the in-shape defenders from the Eagles to Alexander Isaac‘s (£ 10.5 million) First start -up start to the Reds, here are our newest game week 6 Scout Notes.
How Isak did it at his first start
Arne Slot said on Friday that it would not be “smart” to give A-Niet-Helemaal-Full-Match-Fit Isak for 90 minutes, but he was not far away in Selhurst Park.
The Swede lasted 84 minutes on his full Premier League debut for the ruling champions, with slot who explained after full-time that the “low pace” of the game is to be passed by the 60-7-minute marking for which he was originally reserved.
“That had a lot to do with the low intensity of the game. If you are confronted with a low block, 10 players in and around their own 18-year box, when they have to build up, the goalkeeper takes a little time before he kicks it, then there is hardly any intensity in the game. Him.
“But in a game like Dit-that was a low pace, I think I can say that, with a few eruptions from the counterattacks from Hen-Dan you are no. 9 is not so involved.” – Arne Slot at playing Alexander Isak longer than originally planned
Slot called Isak’s display “pretty good performance”, but “best” does a lot of the tough work there.
He had opportunities (three efforts in total), which is an encouraging sign. The fleet of fleet that we saw in Newcastle saw him hardening himself that he was skewed the target, while he might have done it better with a 70th -minute header while the Reds stacked on the pressure.
Above: Alexander Isak’s Touch Heatmap above lets him struggle to have a lot of impact in the last third part, not helped by a lack of service, but he found his way closer to the goal when the second half caught up
At least he has the excuse not to lack match sharpness, something that only gets better with time. Had Hugo Ekitike (£ 8.7 million) Not suspended, Isak would almost certainly not have started, and it didn’t seem as if he was really ready for a game of this size.
Others look like Mohamed is wrong (£ 14.5 million), don’t have that excuse. Another disappointing representation of the Egyptian, who nevertheless could have done so many occasions in the past what he did in the past and saved a hunger of the jaws of anonymity. There always seems to be a chance that every match for Salah, regardless of the performance level, and his hey came when he took a boot from eight meters to distract Dominic‘s (£ 6.5 million) Goalbound shot over the bar.
Why Slot Benched Gakpo
Even with Ekitike out, there would be a controversial name in the Liverpool attack/midfield that was missing on Saturday.
It was Cody Agat (£ 7.6 million) this time, with a lock that chooses to play nominal Florian Wirtz (£ 8.2 million) on the left (but a lot of floating inner field), and Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister (£ 6.4 million) in the middle:

“We wanted to overload the midfield with florian wirtz in the first half-that’s why we didnn’t start with cody. But if you’re 1-0 down and you need a goal, you prefer to have width on both sides-and later we brought codyers That can score goals, bar the risk because you’re already 1-0 down.
“That was the reason to bring in Cody, because the way we played the first half was not the way I hoped before the game.” – Arne Slot about his decision to bench Cody Gakpo
The first half was about a good result for Gakpo as you could get when the tactic failed an adverse one. The gloomy came out Conor Bradley (£ 5.0 million) During the break, with Szoboszlai moving to the right, Wirtz played more like a real ’10’ and gakpo on the left.
This result had come because Liverpool had not been convincing in many of their five consecutive competitive victories.
And yet … even after such a miserable view, even more in the first half, they still had a catalog with opportunities. Salah, Wirtz and Isak should have scored; Federico Chiesa (£ 6.4 million).
There is clearly a very good team there, as the Atletico game showed; It just needs a little more refinement and extra fitness work in the case of a pair.
SARR returns with a bang
What a nice Teampaleis is and, without wanting to sound hard, a lot more than the sum of their parts, thanks to Oliver Glasner.
She completely blissed Liverpool in the first half, with Hermila Hare (£ 6.4 million), giving them an early lead and Daniel Munoz (£ 5.6 million), Jean-Philippe Mateta (£ 7.5 million) and To elect (£ 5.9 million) Superb Saves Out Alisson (£ 5.5 million). Mateta also hit the inside of the pole and volleyde up close. Even after the break, when the Eagles came under pressure, SARR stuck a square pass to Mateta with the goal gaping and Eddie 2nd (£ 5.4 million) should have scored with a header before he hit a late winner.

Munoz owners cannot take a break: nobody had a penalty box adjustments in Selhurst Park (seven), or more efforts in the area (three).
There was no bad representation of the palace rangs, but Sarr was really striking and after his recent resignation is very back on the FPL radar. Mateta also does not get the rubbing of the green, and you feel that the goals are coming for him.
The luminaires, it must be said, remain a mixed bag – but then Liverpool, Chelsea and Aston Villa were intended as difficult tests. There is also a trip to Poland this Thursday, while UEFA Conference League Group phase will start. Mind you, after their last European match, they defeated Villa 3-0 …

Case for the defense
All Palace rear bass are now in the top 16 defenders for FPL points.
Marc Guéhi (£ 4.8 million) leads the road, with his assist on Saturday his third attacking return of the season. To underline how unhappy Munoz has been, Guehi has an XGI of 0.47 in 2025/26 compared to the 1.88 of the wing-back …
The real success story are of course the defensive contribution (Defcon) points. Four of the back five they dropped on Saturday and Munoz was a road from the clean sweep!
Maxence Lacroix (£ 5.1 million) is still at the top of the pile: he should have protected them in four of his six trips, but was refused in GameWeeke 3 when the FPL closing had expired before the recalculation of the data. Chris Richards (£ 4.5 million), however, keeps a good pace with his more expensive teammate:
