FPL comments: Kudus Ace, Stach v Longstaff + time to sell Richarlison?

6 minutes, 11 seconds Read

Tottenham Hotspur kept their undefeated road record with a 2-1 win over Elland Road on Saturday, so that it ended undefeated Run of Leeds United at home for a year.

This is what we saw.

Xavi Better but still in the shadow of Kudus

After a lot of shouting of the Spurs support, Xavi Simons (£ 7.1 million) had to play in his favorite ’10’ role on Saturday.

This was better of the Dutchman, who produced little glimpse of his talent: one shovel in the box for an assault Pedro Porro (£ 5.6 million) was a peak. Thomas Frank even called it Xavi’s “best game” for Spurs so far; Just don’t mention the Rabona…

But if you would not know the transfer costs or reputation of Spurs’ Front Four on Saturday, you would not say that Xavi was head and shoulders above the others. Mathys Tel (£ 6.3 million) and Wilson Posobert (£ 5.3 million) were just as good, maybe better while Mohammed Kudus (£ 6.7 million) was the striking.

And outside Gabriel Gudmundson (£ 4.0 million), Kudus was electric right. We know about the assistant potential: he delivered his fifth of 2025/26 on Saturday and has been reserved for a deflected opener.

But we also saw more target threat in the last two game week, missing with great opportunities against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United before he hit a winner, deflected again, Saturday.

Frank called him, and few would claim, Spurs ‘best attacking player’ of the season so far.

“So happy for Mo, he needed that goal. He was good for us, I would say our best attacking player so far, but to get the winner and a goal – very good. And Xavi Simons again, I think that was his best game. More, but I think he really found some good bags and then had some very good offensive actions.” – Thomas Frank

Time to sell Richarlison?

Tel’s all-round decent performance, from the off-the-ball Harrying to the on-the-ball threat (he hit the bar and scored), does not spell good news for it Richarlison (£ 6.8 million).

The Brazilian was a replacement on Saturday, just as he had been after the international break in September. So, despite the absence of Dominic Solanke (£ 7.2 million) and The Redican creation (£ 6.9 million), probably in the first instance as his two largest game-time threats, he still Is not safe. With Kolo Muani probably back immediately after the break of October, and Solanke may not see it far behind him, Richarlison’s playing time looks even more doubtful.

He is also in the Brazilian camp for the upcoming internationals, while there is a Champions League – similar game to come after Gameweek 8 – and don’t forget that count is not in the European team of LilyWhites, so his for a few minutes will be in his own country.

“So, I said it from the beginning, I think he can play striker. I think he can play against West Ham, for example, he played pretty well, things to improve. Doncaster, even better, arriving in the good situations and now I think, he took the next step, came in good situations and got a goal. I am so satisfied on behalf of him.” – Thomas Frank on Mathys Tel

Porro Assist + Defcon

From almost nowhere, Pedro Porro supplied an assist and defensive contribution (Defcon) points on Saturday.

His assist was Jammy – a overhit pass who still found his way to Kudus after touching Gudmundson – and he only scraped the Defcon.

Longstaff Stach

He had actually had a bit of a bad game, both on and next to the ball, not that his FPL owners give so much about it.

It must be said that he has not had a shot in four game week. And since Simons has become a member, he has not been taken so many corners – the six he delivered in Gameweek 5 came in a competition in which the Dutchman was gestured.

With the Defcon Potential Not Great (he is only an average of 7.3 approvals, blocks, intercepts and tackles (CBIT) per start), there must still be a few questions about its value despite the seven -point return of Saturday.

Posals for seeds + Longstaff> Stach?

“Just compliments in the way we played today [against] A side that has played just at Champions League level. They are currently in the same Champions League positions. One of the upper sides and today we are the better side in all aspects. We dominated it, had more photos, more shots on goal, more opportunities, more expected goals, more corners. In all aspects we have dominated this game and we have to do [won]. Even with the draw we would have been disappointed after such a performance and so many opportunities ”. – Daniel Farke

Although Daniel Farke had a part -time view of the game, you couldn’t really claim that Leeds didn’t earn anything.

Both strikes of Spurs were bent, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£ 5.5 million) wasted a few good opportunities, Joe Rodon (£ 4.0 million) The woodwork touches a free kick and Joel Piroe (£ 5.2 million) Forced an excellent salvation. Parity was briefly restored by Noah Okafor (£ 5.5 million), which stuck in a rebound, but even that high XG-TAP-in ended, Leeds still had the lead over expected goals.

Longstaff Stach

One question will continue to repeat itself throughout the season: do Leeds the firepower at the top to convert competitive performance into results?

Further back, in midfield, it is worth pointing to a bit of a change in the guard in recent weeks.

Anton Stach (£ 5.0 million) looked like a great budget all-rounder in the opening month, but he has been losing since then Sean Longstaff (£ 4.9 million), which happens to perform better than him on the Defcon/DC and Schietfront.

Here are their statistics about the last two game week (small example warning):

Longstaff Stach

Is Longstaff a potential FPL -Koopje then? There will always be the worries In Tanaka (£ 4.9 million) At one point works back in the plans of Farke, but you should say that the Japanese international is a bit light and perhaps better served from the bank at the moment.

Anyway, Stach’s profession has absolutely taken a dent.
