Our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2025/26 Team Previews will continue with Graham Potter’s West Ham United.

Here their best FPL -Picks for the upcoming campaign are discussed. We will also try to predict the line-up for game week 1, to assess pre-season, to describe the best players for defensive contributions (DC) and more.

Bowen + Fullkrug in combination

After replacing Julen Lopetegui in January, head coach Potter has now had a full summer to work with his team. Most of the late months of last season brought in 16th and 17th place, but two victories in the last three names West Ham to a elevated 14th.

What fans fill with summer optimism is the thriving partnership between Jarrod Bowen (£ 8.0 million) and Niclas Fullkrug (£ 6.0 million).

The first year of German in English football is decimated by an injury, but he seems to be finally ready to be unleashed. Between them, the couple gathered five goals and two assists in friendly competitions for the season, combined to score the opener against Bournemouth.

“I think you can see that the link-up is very good. I try to bring the ball to him in his strongest situation, where he can go one-on-one or go in the back. You could also see today, I think there were three or four situations where we were very well related. He tried to do the same for me.

“Also, when I scored the goal, we worked very well against the ball. That is also important for strikers. We are the defenders, we recognize it too. I love this guy. He is my skipper.” – Niclas Fullkrug, talked about Jarrod Bowen

Defensive improvement under Potter

Not exactly known for his defense-first approach, Potter got more of a tune from the West Ham-Achterlijn than Julen Lopetegui.

As you can see from the image above, the rolling XGC average of West Ham went in the right direction after the change in manager.

A count of 23 goals admitted in 18 games under Potter was the Jointestest Best in the competition.

Only three parties also allowed the opposition to less large opportunities (33) at that time.

It did not translate into a revival into clean sheets (only three out of 18), but the green shoots of recovery are in any case.
