Alexander Isaac (£ 10.5 million) may no longer want anything to do with Newcastle United – but what about Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers?
By cutting the gloomy mood caused by their random Swede, we assess whether the Magpies will still offer us fantasy points in 2025/26.
This is part of our series of team examples in which we profile every Premier League club.
From the best picks and defensive contributions (DC) magnets to analysis of the luminaire and an early predicted XI, our newest offer to members focuses on the troops of Eddie Howe.
Newcastle: Reasons to be cheerful
Top-Five Finishing, Top-Five Numbers

Although you are wondering if Nottingham Forest can set up a top-five challenge that is as serious as that of last season (they were 15th for Statsbomb XG!), The underlying songs from Newcastle were more in accordance with a side in the mix for the qualification of Champions League.
Only the top three also scored more than the 68 goals of the Magpies.
In each of the last three seasons, they at least have totally touched – and reaching double digits for clean sheets – so they are not a flash in the pan.
Howe’s Magic Touch

Call it Supporter Bias, but Newcastle really has one of the better managers, especially from a coaching perspective, in the competition.
A lot of mocking the money that was spent Anthony Gordon (£ 7.5 million) Before he signed, and look at the progress he made in 2023/24. Joelinton (£ 6.0 million) went from laughs to praised midfielder, Fabian Schar (£ 5.5 million) From Outcast under Steve Bruce to Ball-Play Center Halk.
This list continues.
2024/25 WAS Jacob Murphy‘s (£ 6.5 million), a best campaign ever for attacking returns (21) after he had settled on the right wing. This was a player surplus for requirements and on Wednesday led by Bruce to Championship Side Sheffield.
The second season under Howe, as it was with Gordon, is often the breakout year. The integrations and method learning take time. We saw it again last season Sandro Tonali (£ 5.5 million), Tino Livramento (£ 5.0 million) and Lewis Hall (£ 5.5 million), who had all asked questions in their career on Tyneside, but delivered those excellent campaigns 2024/25.
Many questions the paid costs Anthony Luna (£ 7.0 million), Malick Thiaw (£ 5.0 million) and, apparently incoming, Jacob Ramsey (£ 5.5 million). The skeptics did the same for Tonali and Gordon.
Howe has made almost every member of his team a better player, and who would bet he would do the same with the latest arrivals – on time.
