As soon as the twins had traded Jhoan Durán to the Philadelphia Phillies a day before the trade deadline, it would all be the insured that a fire sale would take place. The Louis Varland, Carlos Correa and Brock Stewart Deals were a bit of a surprise, but it was not shocking that all players in the 26-man Roster of the twins with another year about their contracts (next to Christian Vázquez) were eventually traded; Harrison BaderWilli Castro, Ty France, Chris Paddack and Danny Coulombe are now all in different teams.
When investigating the players for the falsification of contracts that the twins traded this summer, Castro, Paddack and Coulombe have been struggling with their new teams so far. In the meantime, France looked great with the Blue Jays, and Bader has the Phillies, who have a six-game lead for first place in the National League East about the New York Mets, with more value than expected.
Checking in on the former Twins Outfielder part of the Handelsdeadline Fire Sale, Harrison Bader, who gets with Philadelphia Phillies
While Bader, 31, mainly played the left field with the twins because of Byron Buxton, he only played midfield with the Phillies. He has an above average in his short time with the Phillies, which contributes to his total of six (93rd percentile) in the season.
Let’s talk about Bader’s violation now. When the twin Bader signed for a one -year -old deal worth $ 6.25 mm in the past outside of season, the expectations were that he would be a usable fourth outfielder who could play occasionally and play in midfield in case Buxton was injured. Bader, however, was impressed by his bat and defense to the point at which manager Rocco Baldelli had to put the former Cardinals Outfielder on a somewhat regular basis.
In his short time as twins, Bader .258/.339/.439 for a 117 WRC+ with 12 homers in 307 record appearances, which is much better than the twins that probably introduced itself when signing him. The highest WRC+ Bader posted in a season (excluding the Pandemic campaign with 2020) was 108 more than 103 games with the cardinals in 2021.
Bader has not been delayed offensively since he came to the Phillies. In fact, he brought his attack to a higher level and .296/.378/.465 cut with two home runs and four Doubles in 82 plate performances.

Bader has not been a daily player for the Phillies, but has recently seen an increase in playing time and will probably continue to play more often if he remains one of the best defenders in the competition and keeps touching an elite level.
Bader has a mutual option for next season worth $ 10 mm. He will most likely not return to the Phillies on his option for next season, because mutual options are rarely exercised and Bader’s buy -out is only $ 1.5 mm (but can increase based on his number of record performances). The Phillies can consider exercising the option, but Bader probably has the opportunity to earn more money on the free agent market. If Bader becomes a free agent, he will undoubtedly receive a contract more than the one he has agreed to the twins this past outside season, because he has been worth more this season (2.8) than he has had the past three seasons.
