Marketers waste 40% of their time on presentations. This AI startup has just picked up $ 3.8 million to resolve the copy picking forever.
What happens: Trans-Tasman Startup Aether has collected $ 3.8 million in seed financing to transform how marketing teams create presentations, so that static PowerPoint-Decks live in living, connected assets that are automatically updated with real-time data and repetitive research tasks.
Why this matters: While AI -startups continue to break financing records, the Aether solution points a universal pain point in which marketing professionals waste up to 40% of their time to create manual presentation and data compilation, resources that can be diverted to the actual marketing strategy and version.
When Carsten Grueber, former country manager of Tiktok Nieuw -Zeeland, interviewed hundreds of marketing leaders in business activities, a pattern arose that would reform his career trajectory.
Marketing teams drowned in a sea of repetitive presentation work, lost valuable data insights and constantly fought against outdated information into static decks.
“They say that the measurement is cut twice, and this must also apply to marketing work flows,” says Grueber, who fellow Etter founded to solve what he calls the “presentation problem”. “As it looks now, most slide -decks are reduced every time a presentation takes place, so that valuable resources are wasted from internal teams.”
Generate serious income
The venture studio behind successful Martech Companies Tracksuit launched from New+Improved, Aether from Stealth has emerged with impressive early traction. The company already generates more than $ 600,000 in annual income and has concluded contracts with large business customers in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Led by Icehouse Ventures with extra support from Brand Fund 2, the $ 3.8 million seed round positions Aether as the first official spin-out of the recently beaten new+improved venture studio.
“Instead of spending marketers for half a week on building the monthly performance report, they can spend the same time doing the actual marketing itself,” Grueber explains.
Three problems, one solution
Aether tackles what the company identifies as three penetrating problems that tease large organizations: institutional memory loss in which valuable data views are lost or under -consuming, wasteful productivity about repetitive research production and outdated information embedded in static presentations.
The platform integrates live data directly into presentation and document work flows, which eliminates Grueber what Grueber calls the manual copy-paste time “that can use up to 40% of the time of marketers.
“Within a few minutes, Aether can take 150 marketing reports, in 12 different languages and the all distillation to the 10 slides that really matter,” says Grueber. The platform can also “assess or strengthen your latest idea, plan or discount against your marketing strategy; or make Exec-ready presentations that report last month’s performance with important graphs and comments.”
Aether positions itself as solving the presentation problem in the same way as Figma brought about a revolution in the collaboration of the design and the idea transformed project management. Once connected to data sets, the platform makes adaptable presentations using the branding of a company within a few minutes, whereby presentations are automatically updated as underlying data.
Early customers use aether for board packages, quarterly business assessments, campaigneveld reports, deskbreeds and knowledge management tasks that dispose of traditional resources and delay decision-making.
The founding team brings substantial Saas scale expertise. Co-founder Ursula von Keisenberg previously served as Anz Managing Director at Timely and Emerging Markets Sales Lead at Xero Asia, while Chief Revenue Officer Daniel Alexander-Head completes the executive team after his time at Qualtrics APJ and Vision Critical Loskoop.
“This is the dream intersection of clear problem, scalable solution and strong team,” says Barnaby Marshall, partner at Icehouse Ventures. “Aether solves a universal pain and the traction they have reached with global business customers before the launch is remarkable.”
Trans-tasman Success story
With more than half of his income from Australia, Aether represents a real trans-tasman operation with worldwide ambitions. The company agrees with a growing cohort of AI-oriented companies that attract considerable financing, because investors acknowledge the transforming potential of artificial intelligence when solving inefficiencies in the workplace.
“Aether offers a greater chance that we have seen before,” says New+improved co-founder Simon Pound. “Now, with strong income, large global Enterprise customers and the support of large investors, we are ready to scale. We believe that Aether could be the next Breakout Saas -Success story from this region.”
Seed financing will accelerate product development and expand the worldwide team, currently spread over Australia and New Zealand, because Aether works to transform presentations of static documents into what Grueber’s “living, connected assets that are accurate, always up-to-date and are ready to share.”
