Former NBA forward Kyle Singler was arrested in Oklahoma earlier this week after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, according to multiple reports.
On Thursday, police in Whitehead received a call from a woman who said she was allegedly being chased by the ex-Thunder and Pistons player – who she said was her live-in boyfriend – and was trying to “get” her child, of whom he is the father. News reported at 6.
According to the outlet, Singler, who police allege was under the influence of drugs, wanted to have sex with the woman, and when she refused, he threatened to rape her before pushing her to the ground and attacking her.
KFOR reported this the woman had bruises on her arms and finger marks on her face.
Last November, Singler posted shirtless videos on social media, claiming he had been “mistreated and abused” and that the world was in the middle of a “religious war.”
“I have been mistreated and abused, neglected and made into a mental example,” Singler said. “And I fear for my life every day. And people in my community make me look like I’m someone who’s going to be a problem and make things difficult for people when all I’m trying to do is be helpful.”
“I feel like I have a certain way of thinking about myself, power and purpose that is not appreciated or treated well.”
A spokesperson for the Medford, Oregon, police said at the time that authorities were “aware” of the videos, while the NBA Players Association told The Post it had been in contact with his family.

“We are in contact with Kyle’s family. As with all current and former members of the NBPA, we offer every support to players, whether through their greatest successes or times of challenge,” the statement said.
Singler played at Duke and helped the Blue Devils win the 2010 national title while being named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player of that NCAA tournament.
He was a second-round NBA draft pick in 2011 and played six seasons in the league.
