Former Los Angeles Dodgers -Reliever Kenley Jansen will hit a free desk after this season. He drew a one -year -old deal with the Los Angeles Angeles for 2025, but spent most of his career with the Dodgers.
Jansen will be 38 in September, and he has already won a World Series Championship (2020) and has earned four All-Star selections during his career.

The dual National League Reliever of the month could choose to retire at the end of this season instead of choosing a free agency. But Jansen told the Orange County Register He is planning to keep playing for a few more years.
“My goal is at least four years after this season,” said Jansen. “That’s my goal.”
Jansen is the angels closer and has put together his best season since 2021 when he registered a 2.22 ERA with the Dodgers in his last year. The right-handed has posted a 2.79 ERA and 40 strikeouts, while turning 20 of his 21 Save chances through 45 performances.
He is still going strong, but Jansen said that he should do extra work in the low season if he wants to extend his career.
Jansen could not do extra work last season, because he was in his home country of Curacao to support his mother and father due to their health problems. His mother died during the low season and his father reportedly had a stroke.

“I’m going to place the work in this low season to get my body in better shape,” said Jansen. “Last year I spent most of the time with my mother because of how sick she was. I didn’t work so much in the low season. This season outside of season I certainly wide up to her and myself, to get into the best form I can get.”
Jansen was able to sign again with the Halos this season, but the veteran said closer that he is only focused on production for the team this season.
“I can’t predict,” Jansen told the Orange County Register Stay with the angels. “I know what I can do this season to help. Unfortunately, those decisions are not in my hands. One thing I have learned is that both parties have to love each other to have each other in the future.”
