Former Amherst Ladies Hockey Assistant, Becker, Captain Kelly, Worcester State Kelly, chosen as new Assumption Assistant Coach – College Hockey | Ucho.com

Kylian Kelly

Kylian Kelly has joined the Assumption Coaching Staff prior to the 2025-26 season.

Kelly started her collegial career at Becker, where she played ice hockey, field hockey and Lacrosse and was selected as the leader of all three teams. When Becker closed in 2021, Kelly crossed to Worcester State to play her last two seasons, where she was chosen as a captain for the inaugural season of women’s hockey and led the lancers to back-to-back conference touring championships.

She concluded her 105-game career who played defense with four goals and 57 assists, while also the program records for most assists in a season (21) and most career assists by a defender (34) (34).

“I am very enthusiastic to participate in the Hockey program for women,” said Kelly in a statement. “Being part of a newer program with so much potential is a unique and rewarding opportunity. I look forward to helping to build a strong foundation, develop our student athletes and to contribute to a culture of hard work, growth and success. I can’t wait to start and be part of this exciting journey with the team.”

Kelly started her coaching career while he is still a collegial student athlete. She served as Head JV Girls Lacrosse coach and an assistant -Varsity coach at her Alma Mater, Shrewsbury High School, as well as an assistant -varsity field hockey coach. Kelly also coached ice hockey with the WC Swans program.

In the past two seasons, Kelly served as an assistant coach at Amherst, where they compiled a record of 44-10-3 and transferred to the Division III National Championship Game.

“We are very enthusiastic to add Kylian to our coaching staff for the 2025-26 season,” said Assumption head coach Joe Grossman. “Her experience in recruitment, player development and overall success at Amherst College speaks for herself and we cannot be happier to add her to our group.”

Kelly won a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2022 at the state of Worcester and was recorded in the Chi Alpha Sigma Student-Athlete Honor Society and the PSI Chi Psychology Honor Society. She also worked as a title that I read instructor for Shrewsbury Public Schools, and help children struggling with reading and writing skills.
