Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) Ford today announced that the Ford Ranger Raptor Sport limited edition model has now been officially launched in Malaysia and can be booked into showrooms from tomorrow, November 15, 2025. This more aggressively styled model is offered in conjunction with the third anniversary of the latest generation Ranger Raptor in the market, and is sold at an on-the-road price without insurance of RM273,888.00 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM277,388.00 in Sabah and Sarawak.
This Ford Ranger Sport is based on the 3.0L V6 Twin-Turbo EcoBoost variant which is currently sold without insurance for an on-road price of RM 263,888.00. What’s different is that this special model has been given unique styling, starting with matching 17-inch alloy wheels with style bead lock which is more solid then gets side body stickers with larger graphics and the same sport bar on the rear bed as on the latest Ranger Wildtrak.
SDAC Ford said the Ranger Sport will be offered in limited numbers, but did not disclose the actual number produced and sold in the local market.
Other than that, the details of the Ranger Raptor Sport are the same as the petrol Ranger Raptor. There’s no additional performance tuning involved, with the included 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo EcoBoost engine still delivering 397 hp at 5,650 rpm and 583 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm.
Power from the engine is fed to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, before all wheels are driven via permanent all-wheel drive, which comes with transfer case also with two speeds limited slip differential given on the rear and front axle.
This also applies to the suspension where the Ranger Raptor Sport is still equipped with a Watt’s Linkage system on the rear axle, together with shock absorbers. off road with long strokes delivered by Fox.
The shock absorbers feature a 2.5-inch internal bypass valve with Teflon oil coating to reduce friction by up to 50% compared to previous models. The rebound character, spring rate, ride height and valve setting are tuned to provide the best balance between on-road performance and off road.
There are no changes to the interior either, where it still features a 12.4-inch fully digital instrument display, a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel with an orange 12 o’clock finish and the Raptor logo below, magnesium shift pedals and electronic gear knobs and front seats inspired by the F22 fighter jet.
While for the infotainment system, the Ranger Raptor gets a vertically arranged 12-inch touchscreen, with SYNC 4A connection (wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard), along with an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. The pickup’s cabin is also equipped with ambient lighting, four USB charging slots and Q wireless charging.
The new Ford Ranger Raptor Sport is only offered in two exterior colors viz Arctic White And Meteor gray. With every purchase you get a 5-year warranty and 2 years of free service package. Customers will also receive an exclusive ‘Live The Ranger Life’ souvenir cooler bag upon delivery.
