In the business community, the possibility is to determine the actual value of assets, obligations and overall enterprise valuation. Certified public accountants (CPAs) that specialize in valuation services are here for those job and to help you find the best of their best, Forbes will soon reveal its first annual list of Top CPAs for ratings.

The CPAs that are considered for this honor will be chosen from different backgrounds, specializations and geographical regions, from the big four to self -possession of the profession. As with everything Forbes Lists, this recognition will be based on a rigorous, multi-phase process of editorial research and evaluation, and no costs or payment of any form is required for candidates to be taken into consideration or selected.

To produce this list, our assessment team will identify more than a thousand eligible candidates through interviews with insiders from the industry, external nominations, editorial research and an independent advisory board of expert CPAs that specialize in valuation services. To be eligible for consideration, CPAs must have a permit by their state and be active in the appeal of the public accounting profession.

As always, Forbes‘Methodology and assessment process are designed by the broad experience of the editorial team in the CPA practice, the reporting of accounting news and knowledge of leaders who are CPAs in valuation services. Candidates are assessed in ten weighted categories, including performance, professional awards, influence on the profession, performance, thinking and community service. Although the lifelong performance of a CPA will be considered, the emphasis will be on their most recent achievements. CPAs are evaluated from every state in America, regardless of the company size. The final candidates are screened by a permanent council of advisers and practice CPAs that perform evaluations.

The result will be a collection of elite CPAs that lead the profession effectively and honorably in the field of valuations – of whom an excellent track record, impeccable integrity and ultimately shares Forbes’ recognition.
